I have been using Drawnames for a few years now since our extended family decided to move from buying small token gifts for everyone to buying one gift for one family member with at a higher budget. Draw names allows me to set exclusions for family groups and for the previous year’s recipient. The wish list functionality takes away some of the guess work . The one thing I would like to see is an option for the initiator to not be able to see the contents of everyone’s wish list. It would be nice to be able to decide if I wanted to know who bought what or not. I would still like to see who hasn’t set up a wish list but would like the ability to view it to be under my control. That said, it is still a very good app.

It will be the second time using this app for Christmas this year and it is amazing. Last year we just used the wish list, this year for secret Santa! So easy to navigate! (Even for the old people 😂) It’s really helpful for those family members that are terrible with giving ideas as they can just add random bits they find! Everyone gets things that they like and want! I love that you can add a budget and find items within that.The exclusions part on the secret Santa mode was just perfect, as our group is made up of mostly couples so I was able to set it that none of us would get our partners but could get anyone else!Overall just love this app so much and hopefully will continue to use it for years to come!! Only criticisms I have is that the anonymous messages don’t work at all. No one receives the messages that are sent. (However that wasn’t a problem for us last year) And there was a slight issue with the “I’m giving this gift” part not working at first but it did work itself out.

For a busy house that aren’t always able to be together at Christmas, draw names takes the pain out of shopping and having to think too hard about what to get for someone. It just works and even I can’t be accused of not wanting to participate… and don’t sound a barrel of laughs too!!😆

I think it could have 0 friends at the beginning when you login if you want to, but you kind of have to have them which isn’t so fun but also I know there’s like a budget but I feel like you could like just scrap out unless you are actually doing like a Wale Christmas he’s still a secret Santa but I feel like if you’re not that could be a button of things just shopping and you don’t have a budget you can just type whatever you want because I keep just putting in £1000 and it comes up with the things that I need kind of saying no bio in your budget which is really not good but the rest is okay
