....but not a replacement for hardware scanners. That said, the best scanner is the one you have to hand, and this app does a great job given the constraints within which it’s forced to work.

Very difficult user interface

I’ve had to use finereader for many years. I need to scan existing documents captured by screen grabs. I find even the simplest actions either difficult or impossible with this app because of the strange user interface. The only workflow it seems to support is that of taking photos of documents and reading them. I have to use finereader on the pc to get any work done

Upgrade path doesn’t work
stuck on prepayment meter
after purchasing the lifetime upgrade you don’t get anything. In fact you have to claim a refund from Apple and then purchase and download the full version. As an added problem the full version doesn’t read your old scans, so you have to save everything as pics and reimport to new scans. Otherwise a very helpful app.

Scans well but seems to have limited iPhone user-friendliness

The app works but I can’t seem to figure out how to change the default file names (eg opt for year/month/day), alter the destination folder on Dropbox or share a series of separate docs at same time. These are all needed to make it useable if you scan several docOther cheaper or free scanners have these functions. Apologies if I missed them but not obvious if preset...

You can set a file name in the app in such a way: take an image - tap Done **-** in the Document properties remove the default file name and indicate a new one. To change the default file name of an existing file please choose a document - tap Properties button - remove the default file name and indicate a new one. We have forwarded your suggestions to the Research and Development Department of our company regarding the options to indicate the destination folder on Dropbox and share several separate files at the same time.
