I purchased this proiduct about two years ago (having loved the Sim City games). It ran perfectly well until Big Sur and now it errors out and won't run. I emailed the developers to report the problem and didn't even get a response back. Still I can't run the game. I am contacting Apple to request a refund and to ask them to remove this game from the AppStore to prevent others from wasting their money. Shame, it was a great game...

As a fan of SimCity for a long time, I was really disappointed when I first heard that this iteration was originally ‘online only’ and full of bugs. This version, however, is fantastic - it’s really addictive, and the graphics are great. The smaller maps aren’t so bad, and it’s quite cool to build upwards. In my opinion, it actually helps to create a more immersive experience, as it’s easier to keep track of everything that's happening across the city.Overall, I think this is a really great game, and would recommend it to previous users and newcomers to the series.

I dont understand all the bad reviews. I ignored them and still paid for the game.And i am pleased I did. I have have this on my MBP 13” R late 2014. I5 core and 16gb ram and 256 ssd. The game runs like a dream and the graphics are good. I use the apple magic mouse and that works perfect. I have not played Sim City before so I cannot compare it to the old versions but this one is great. The fans kick in but so do most of the games, and thats what the fans are there for so I dont see this as an issue as others do. I had a wondows machine that would run the fan just been on the desktop ha ha.I would say this is worth the money for all the extras but I’m sure others wont agree. I love it and I’m pleased I have it. No bugs no issue and hours of fun. So if you are into these games I would say get it and be confident that you will have no issues and many hours of fun.

I think I got lucky with this version which doesn’t have the beta problem. It’s the first time I’ve bought Sim City since 2000 and I’m not disappointed in what I find. Just as addictive as I found the old version but with much more added in terms of gameplay and graphics.I like where you pick a region and then get to build numerous cities within, then enabling your cities to trade with one another.If you want a game you can sit back with and lose yourself in it then this might be the one for you.
