iPastels 4+

I was once an amateur artist using oil pastels on paper or wood. I now have a rare progressive degenerative neurological condition which means that I can no longer hold or control oil pastels well enough to make meaningful artworks. This app has allowed me to use what functionality I have left in my hands to simulate the cross hatch and blend methodology I developed as a teenager. I wept when I produced my first piece of work using the app. I kept looking at my fingers to see if they were covered in oil pastels. For the first time for three years I have been able to make something of which I am proud without using a computer to ‘pretend’ to paint. I actually did the painting myself, with my own fingers. I am so happy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have made a very frustrated man very happy. The app is brilliant. So similar to the real thing in the way that the pigment goes onto the surface, and so similar as you blend it that you can almost smell the oil pastels. Even better, unlike the real thing, it has an undo button!

I would really want to have a fill option on the tool bar because it is hard to colour it all in when you’ve got to colour the whole thing or it doesn’t look like the picture you were going for.
I love the game and how your illustrations can look soooo cool 😎 and realistic! 🤩. The main reason I rated 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars is because it’s realistic and although there’s an in app purchase the app without the purchase is just as good and is really cool but I would appreciate a new update to add a fill feature for you to fill in the whole page with the colour you chose I still think this game has great opportunities for you to become great at art on whole this game is still a game I really recommend to people who like art 🖼 this game is amazing on whole 🥳🤪🤩😝😍😊😚😜😋😛😘🥰😎but I also would like to lower the in app purchase a little but I don’t mind if you can’t my parents would still never use money for a game but I think 💭 the amount you have to pay is fair for the amount of stuff you get in it but anyways I love 💖 this game and think it’s great 👍

This once wonderful app is now ruined and unusable, at least on iPhone. It is just useable on iPad, but recent ‘improvements’ have done a lot more harm than good. Shame, it’s not getting used anymore.
This is probably the best drawing/painting app out there. I've tried a few, and paid for a more expensive one, but I come back to this for most of my work. Once you've learned the basic layout, which doesn't take long, work progresses quickly (or slowly, if you prefer!). There are so many things to like about it, it would take too long to go through them all.
