Description

Stop overpaying with cheap flight alerts from Jack’s Flight Club.

Jack and his team of flight hackers monitor thousands of flight routes from the US, UK and Europe each day, using expert knowledge to find you stupidly cheap flights. You’ll be stunned by the discounted fares, with average savings of $534/£402/€447 on each long-haul flight booked.

These aren’t the kinds of trips you’d usually find using traditional flight search websites or Google Flights. You see, the very best fares often stick around for only a day or two, and being the first in the know can mean saving hundreds on fares to your dream destinations.

Our free app notifies you whenever we find a bargain flight – including discounted business class and premium economy flights! You’ll get details of the departure and destination airports, how to book, and how long we expect the fare to be available. It’s super simple.

Here are just some of the recent flight tips we’ve found for our members:

Departing from the UK & Ireland:

* Thailand for £390 return
* Cuba for £300 return
* Morocco for £54 return
* New Zealand for £565 return
* Lapland for £40 return

Departing from EU:

* Korea for €340 return from Frankfurt
* India for €365 return from Paris
* Japan for €464 return from Brussels
* Toronto for €263 return from Norway

Fantastic

This really is a great service. Regular updates on deals that truly can save you money and are achievable. The relatively modest premium fee can be more than earned back on one trip I believe (I haven’t had the service that long so have not yet booked a flight but based upon all the deals, the savings can be significant). There are no hidden secrets, JFC just takes out all the hassle of trawling for flights. It is also great if you are feeling adventurous as it can give you the opportunity and inspiration to visit places that you may otherwise think out of your price bracket. Brilliant.

Disappointment to say the least

I’ve been the mailing list for well over 6/7+ years now and always enjoyed their summary of flights & the detour blogs, great reads. Finally gave their Black Friday promo for premium a go & downloded the app. It’s vastly disappointing, for a firm that’s had huge growth & clearly employs so many people the “offers/deal” are some of the worst I’ve seen compared to others & really provides little value even if it was free. The app for a huge company is awful as bad 1 tab the rest basically redirects you to the webpage. I’m by no means a globetrotting nomad with vast travel hacks & high expectations, but I do follow some other travel deal companies on socials who honestly provide 10x more daily deals/packages & cool quirky itineraries/round the world trips & error fares etc, all for free via insta stories, tweets etc which are far more accessible/easier to navigate. Again, still happy to be on the mailing list, but these chaps are nowhere near what the industry standard ought to be. It’s like a tiny salad at a posh restaurant instead of a filling home cooked meal with less fanfare, of which if you do your research there’s many. Not worthy of the hype, rarely even leave such detailed reviews but it honestly feels like a scam. Could be so much better.

I have already forwarded your comments to our team so that we can explore ways to improve our offerings and services. Terrible service

I bought a years subscription via App Store. Unfortunately I did not know this would auto renew. Within 2 hours of the renewal payment coming out I contacted jacks flight club and asked for it to be cancelled and the next annual payment to be returned.

The team at jacks flight club were not willing to help and said that there was nothing they could do. I told them that this was ridiculous as they were the receipt of the funds but again they declined to help and said I’d have to take it up with apple.

Running a business myself this is appalling service. Trying to pass the buck with no offer of assistance. The idea that apple have all of my money and they received nothing is a complete fabrication.

They need to take ownership of complaints and should either offer to contact apple to help resolve this issue or indeed return my premium minus any deduction taken by apple for processing.

Imagine going to a restaurant and they accidentally charged you for items you did not order, which you point out to them. Would a satisfying response be “you need to speak to your bank and get them to refund the money as the dealt with the payment” or would it be for them to take ownership and deal with the refund.

Clearly a very juvenile business with more emphasis on growth then looking after clients, a real shame really.

I have forwarded my story to the moneybox programme.

Developer Response ,

Hi there, sorry to hear your request for a refund for your app upgrade was denied by Apple.

To give you a bit more insight on how iOS transactions work, Apple has set a number of conditions before allowing us to offer our app to all iOS users, though, and one of these is that all refund and billing decisions are entirely under their control.

As such, we pay a small fee to register our app in the Apple App Store and, in return, Apple handles the billing for all upgrades made through their system and we receive roughly 56% (the total fee minus their 30% commission and the 20% VAT they take) of the fee that you pay for your upgrade. We receive information on which users have upgraded so that we can send you email alerts to your inbox as well as through your app.

Because of this system, any app upgrade is unfortunately a contract between the customer and Apple, rather than a contract between you and Jack's Flight Club and the refund policy to follow is through Apple.

While we've found these guidelines useful when requesting a refund from Apple for an app store purchase, sometimes it is helpful to contact Apple customer service directly to ask why a refund was denied if your app purchase is less than 90 days old. You can contact them directly by email or chat through your Apple account - some members have reported being able to get refunds despite being initially denied by the automated system. If Apple still denies your refund request through that channel, we'd be happy to refund the portion of the fee from Apple we would receive from your upgrade.

While we do wish we had more control over how this works, unfortunately these are the limitations we're handed in order to publish an iOS application.

Sorry we couldn't be of more immediate help but hope to speak soon. You can email us at support@jacksflightclub.com and we'd be happy to continue working through this issue.
