What’s New

Version 3.2.3

What's new:

- Run Actions
- Now open URLs and Run Shortcuts for any timer action! Rather than just timer expiration, you can now open URLs and Run Shortcuts for actions like starting/stopping a timer, pausing, lapping a stopwatch, and next/previous interval.

NOTE: Run Actions can only run automatically when the app is open. If running from the background using Shortcuts or similar, the app may need opened first.

- New Alert Sounds
- Ding
- Gong 1
- Gong 2

- Filtering
- Added an "Any/All" toggle to change the behavior of filter matching criteria. These also apply to Shortcuts, Widgets and x-callback-url filtering (use match=any or all)

- Stopwatch
- When using Stopwatch in focus view there is now a toggle above the time to switch between showing the current lap time and total time

Fixed:

- Intervals unexpectedly getting skipped

- Bug where timer is full screen and bottom buttons don't change with play/pause state.

- A bunch of bugs in the timer editor page should be fixed

- Fixed a bug where "Repeat Alerts" being disabled would still cause alerts to repeat

- Fixes to Run Actions not firing even with the app open

- When creating a new timer in the Watch app, there is a new row of icons across the top to make it more clear there are multiple pages and which page is active

- Fixed an issue with interval timers where the sound wouldn't play when the app is open

- Fixed a UI issue with the intervals button

- Fixed Shortcuts actions not working on Stopwatch

Does everything I need very well

I’ve tried lots of timer apps and this one hits the sweet spot. Plenty of configuration options but not too many and all well thought out and easy to use. There seems to be an issue with the Watch app at the minute but I assume that’s down to the recent WatchOS update and hope that the developer will fix it soon. It would also be nice to have an option to quickly create and start a one-off, self-destructing timer and it would also be good if tapping a button on a Live Activity for a running timer didn’t launch the app 🙂

Developer Response ,

Thanks for the kind words! There’s a new feature coming soon that gives you “quick timers” which should have what you need.

Could you contact support@justtimers.app to get help with your watch issue? Thanks!

Excellent app & responsive developer

I discovered this app while version 2.0 was in beta and was primarily interested in it for the Shortcuts integration. The developer was a pleasure to work with and very responsive. The app has become indispensable for me—and not merely because of its integration with Shortcuts. I strongly recommend it to anyone seeking a versatile timer app.

Just does what it says, and just does it well.

Sometimes you don’t need all the bells and whistles that apps have these days. Sometimes you just need a go-to timer for your gym rest breaks, easily accessible on an Apple Watch, and easily configurable. This is just that. Hence why they probably called it Just Timers. 👍🏼
