Kaizen is the most accurate, personalised and adaptive training programme out there. If you're a new runner, returning from injury or hunting a new PB in the marathon, half marathon or other race distance; Kaizen is for you.

Kaizen analyses all your past race performances and recent training to provide you with an accurate race prediction (including a marathon finish time prediction). With this data, it builds a personalised training programme that sets you a weekly running target to reach each week in order to achieve your bigger goal. Kaizen gives you the flexibility to train how you like, without the rigidity of other generic training plans.

How can a flexible training plan get me to my goal?

Brilliant

I’m using this app in its early development and it is the best approach to running training I have experienced. I heard about it on an podcast called The Extramilest. I’ve seen more progress using this in 5 weeks than I have in a few years. I’m a slow, social runner but I think this app could change that.

Want to love, but doesn’t do enough

I love the idea of this app but it seems very light on features to warrant a paid subscription. On the free trial you just get a weekly distance goal and a predicted marathon time calculated by the past two months mileage & pace. It seems the algorithm is quite basic, for example it predicted me a faster marathon time when I was running a quick 5km once a week compared to now when I’m actually properly training, seemingly only because my average pace has gone down (my mileage has gone up significantly).
I hope the app improves throughout its development.

Interesting but not super useful

After taking a week to download my Strava data, my marathon prediction was given which is quite interesting. It tells me how far to run each week but doesn’t suggest any sessions or paces. Would be great to have some suggestions of how to structure the week to improve quickly. Or even just some workout suggestions that target certain systems based on my fitness level. Also, does it predict any other times or only marathon? Just feels a bit light on features really
