Ratings and Reviews
Awesome App for Learning
I was wondering if a basic flash card app where I would write my own hiragana in was going to be the solution to my learning struggles.
Then I found this app, which does everything I wanted and more, it keeps so many stats!!
The pronunciation for each could be a little more useful as it sounds like it’s a robot voice, but the positives are so much stronger that it is an easy 5*. I was able to do loads of customisable things such as a quiz, which are not locked behind paywalls like other apps, thank you devs 🙏
Just started using and already way better than anticipated.
I had just started using this app before the update maybe two days ago, and since returning they have released a new UI and also Benkyo - looking forward to using these two apps more oftenly to gradually learn Japanese writing! I have used other apps, but this one gives better control over what you want to focus on.
Great App for Kana Recognition Drills
This app is great if you want to learn or refresh your knowledge of hiragana and katakana. The drills are fantastic, and are really helping me to get back into Japanese, which I studied for a year almost 20 years ago.
The second part for me is the writing section, which is very helpful and clearly presented. I just wish there was an automated writing recognition drill (checking stroke order and character accuracy) similar to the character recognition (reading) drill.
I am “older”, and found the app to not be super intuitive, and I’m still not sure I’ve figured out the full functionality, so I may be wrong about the writing drill.
