King of digital
I’m a big fan of AudioKit, especially vhs synth. Although this ostensibly the same engine as their previous releases they keep refining and this is their pinacle so far. The inclusion of 2 lfos and a mod matrix make it super deep and with so many oscillator types you really can sculpt some truly beautiful sounds. I is so great value for money. I would recommend this to anyone with an interest in sound design.
Awesome but the usual problem
This is worth EVERY penny, let me say that up front. Stunning sounds and the absolute best bang for buck on the App Store. But, as with ALL AudioKit apps the sequencer and all the Arp sounds just don’t trigger correctly and are always out of time. Such a shame as it would be awesome to use them in tracks with LogicPro or GarageBand.
And sadly… the more I’ve used it the more I’ve realised it’s unreliability when used in LogicPro and GarageBand. It loads up and records. But go back to your track in a day or two and it doesn’t load. Much like the other apps by this developer.
If these issues can be resolved this app would be indispensable, but as it stands - it’s a fun toy, but cannot be relied upon in a DAW.
Audiokit’s Finest by far 🏆
I also have been rapidly filling up the Favourites folder, there are so many awesome pads, I’m really spoiled for choice here. Without a doubt this is the best synth app in the whole Audiokit collection and one that I will certainly be using in all my projects 👌
