Useless boarding passes

Kiwi really need to get into the 21st Century re: mobile boarding passes. Despite their own apps claims to provide them, in reality it just generated the exact same pdf version as the email. Having been on a Greek Island out of season & not having had the foresight to pack a printer in my luggage (silly me!!) I assumed by reading the apps claims that this wouldn't be a problem. My journey required two flights by different airlines, both of which use mobile boarding cards but you are unable to access via their own apps with only the Kiwi reference. A call to 'customer services' was worse than useless, merely a repetitive overseas call centre droning from a crib sheet about me being checked in online but 'safer' to print (how?) than get charged (again) at both airports. I was under the impression that we were a progressive, paper free, connected society, but clearly Kiwi think otherwise. In future I will book my flights direct with the carrier & use their dedicated apps. This app is just to supportt sales for a 3rd party reseller with a dated system & useless support.

DO NOT USE

I will NEVER use Kiwi again. Today my flight was delayed and it would force me to miss my connecting flight back home. When I went to see what the other options were it cancelled my ticket WITHOUT my consent and I couldn’t get on my first plane. My next plan was to get a refund (that would take THREE TO SIX months) and try to get a stand by ticket back home. No luck because the app kept malfunctioning and wouldn’t load the refund page. I tried online too. Next I went to see what the alternative route were and all of them were multiple stops and I had to pay extra for all of them. Ended up paying £78 pounds to turn my originally 4 hour trip into 25 hours. There was nothing I could do. I originally had paid extra to make sure I could have a carry on included on my flight, they did not make sure that policy was continued onto the alternative route even though I specifically paid extra for it. Additionally for the first flight of the new route they were “out of free seats” although they had plenty of ones you could purchase and I was forced to purchase a seat at an additional fee before I could check in. I recommend with booking directly with the airlines (more guarantee to have your tickets covered at no cost to you) or Hopper if you don’t want to get robbed. I have NEVER had an issue like this with hopper or any other airline. DO NOT USE KIWI. They will rob you.

Trip to the USA Nov 2017

Used kiwi for the first time for my trip to Newburgh in the us, everything was fine until it came to printing off my boarding cards for my main flight as it said in my timeline would be available the day before my trip !
I waited until after the stated time to try and print them off and was showing unavailable so a phone call to kiwi was made !
They apologised and said they would re send the passes I needed for the flight but re sent the ones I already had for my connecting flight instead but as asked waited 3 hours !! So another call to kiwi and once again the apology wait 3 hours and the same thing !!!! Now it was gone midnight and the day of the trip so a third call where I stated I would like to complain and would like to speak to a manager then once again was told he was busy so will contact me as soon as he was free 😡 I never received that call and took the decision to go to the airport and risk it only to be told that it’s not possible to do an on line check in for that flight !!!!!!!!!! To say that I was mad was an understatement so the whole day before my trip was wasted on kiwi not knowing procedures and telling lies to buy time with false promises made, all over what should have been a simple call to check why !
