Kneady: Bread & Baking Recipes 4+

I can’t recommend this app enough. I downloaded it before it became subscription-based and when there weren’t a huge number of recipes, but decided to bite the bullet and pay for the annual subscription and I have not been disappointed. Plenty of new recipes added regularly, and pretty much every one I’ve tried has turned out great - I have FINALLY conquered cinnamon buns thanks to this app! The app is nice to navigate, slick-looking and I really like the baking mode and in-built timer.

My only suggestion to the development team is whether there is a way of ensuring you don’t lose your place in baking mode when you come out of the app for a while, for example when waiting for the timer to run down? Currently if it’s been a while you need to go back into the app, re-search for the recipe and skip through the steps you’ve already done to get back to where you were, but I don’t know if this can be fixed in the app or whether it’s an operating system issue?!

P.s. regarding the ability to "not lose your place" on a current bake, our engineers will look into whether this is possible and if so, how best to do it! It's a great idea though, especially as the operating system might well close the app during the longer rises!

Was a very good app. Great recipes - not a huge selection, but enough to give me ideas. Unfortunately most of it is now subscription only. I do understand that developing apps like this takes time and effort. However - I had added quite a few recipes to my favourites and now I can’t access them without subscribing. I feel that was a little unfair, as I’ve been using the app since it came out. By all means check it out, but to be honest you can find most of these recipes (or extremely similar ones by big name bakers) on the web for free so take a long hard look before you subscribe. Regretfully I’ll be deleting the app.

I love this app. I started baking late last year and this app quickly became my go to for pizzas, bagels, and pretty much whenever I feel like I really want to bake… something.

The app is really easy to use, and the photos for each step of the method really make this app. With a quick scroll through I can quickly decide if a possible recipe is too complicated (or too easy!) for my current mood.
