Kroo Bank - Mobile Banking 4+

My card arrived earlier today and I have just activated it through the kroo app. This was the easiest card I’ve ever activated. The card is attractive - with large enough numbers on for “us older folks” to see. It’s been quite a process getting accepted for This account but I am So Pleased I persevered as I think this is a great account with an amazing rate of interest if you keep your account in the black. I have found that the chat service is brilliant and if the “bot” can’t answer your question - your question gets passed onto one of the team who get back to you in a pretty decent time and there answers/replies have always been easy to understand and nothing seems to be too Much trouble for Them. Even though this is just an internet bank they seem pretty switched on & easy to contact. I did thorough checking of them as one of my other banks made me feel Very insecure about kroo however after sealing with the FCA & my other bank I now feel Confident that this is a bona fide bank. I am impressed & pleased with all Communications I have had with kroo whether by telephone or via the kroo app

I’ve had many bank accounts online including monzo starling and metro. Never took the card for metro out the letter (yet) - use monzo and got back on my starling in my new phone yesterday I’m just blown away by the ridiculously long wait when all the above are 5mins - you have a BASIC bank account. It’s not a credit card application so I actually feel this is pretty ridiculous and wonder if as they say the application takes 5mins but checks take a week lol 😂 like they don’t want the customers if others can do it that quickly it worries me why Kroo takes ultra long. Checks? Why aren’t any of the others doing these checks? Are they necessary or is it a social media job application type bank application? It just seems so ridiculous checking entering my password and seeing that house with - no news. So are there people who get it in 5 mins? Why are they so lucky what have they done differently in life? Just 7 days makes no sense, 3 okay 5 hmm alright but 7? Asked and spoke to a poor quality AI computer just now and almost pressed cancel my application being back on my starling and now thinking let’s just try and reset the email to the metro card that was approved in 5 mins and 3 days I had my card ready to go despite not yet opening it. Erg strange and a bit suspicious for a basic bank account move 10 pound here / mum pay 20 in there / use 4 pound in the coop. It’s not stocks and shares or savings bonds and I even own my own home. Rant complete 😂

Great process and quite fast to open account it would of been good to have had an overdraft option to apply as part of the application process rather than wait to be invited to apply . They did say they would look at this for me but still nothing came through my app as of yet maybe I will get an invite soon as it’s not as if I am asking a centurion black amex card holder to upgrade my platinum amex to the black card . :)

But overall no complaints about the services and the professionalism part from this invite palava which should be available for everyone not the certain few
