App is amazing
I like that you can write on the flash cards
Improvement would be , that when you want to zoom in to write on the flash cards the screen doesn’t also move. This means that you can write more info on cards rather than only be able to write at one level
Superb Usability
Kyoku brings the simplicity and usability of paper flashcards to your iPad, something no other flashcard app has ever managed to do. If you’re looking for a simple but powerful experience that’s as similar to paper flashcards as possible, then look no further.
Feedback: One addition I would like to see would be a SuperMemo / Anki style SRS system that automatically quizzes me on my learned cards so I don’t forget them. While I think the existing Leitner boxes are great for a paper-like experience - and should be retained - a separate, algorithmic SRS ‘Review’ feature could genuinely turn Kyoku into an Anki-killer.
Exactly what I needed!
I always struggled with flash card apps because they felt so clunky and complicated to set up. I searched for something I could use with an Apple Pencil and this was PERFECT. So simple to set up and use. It feels really natural and I was breezing through writing my flash cards for language learning and vocab with no problems at all. Super quick and fun to use, and that just makes a huge differences when it comes to me actually wanting to use the app. I love the extra features like being able to switch the type of paper. Thank you for this!!
