I'm not a singer myself but a mature and amateur composer/songwriter of various types of music. I love the a cappella versions of 2 all-time classics and 2 of my very favourite songs ever, a spiritual called 'We Shall Overcome', an a cappella version by Annika Laaksonen and the Ben E. King 1960s soul classic called 'Stand By Me', an a cappella version by Tiina Pakka, are both friends on Facebook (if not in person, in the real world) and are from Finland. I think they both did excellent jobs. I love both a cappella versions, there voices and there vocal arrangements. I contacted Annika Laaksonen via Facebook and as I searched and found her there and she replied my message via my email address that I put in my Facebook message to her. I asked her whether she could do the same thing she did for 'We Shall Overcome' for my a cappella rendition of an old Wesleyan Methodist hymn called 'I'd Rather Have Jesus', which has two different choruses, one of which overlaps the other once, after it has been repeated and sung a second time, i.e., sung simultaneously. One of the choruses is sung alone once before the other one comes in with the reputation of the first chorus. Annika Laaksonen said she was too busy. She's in uni in Finland and she also sings in a band according to a picture on her Facebook page. I also got in contact with Tina Pakka via Twitter where I found her but she never relied me. It's been over a month now since I contacted her. Can you please answer the following question? If I upload the music notation (score) of my a cappella rendition of the old hymn 'I'd Rather Have Jesus' will I be able to hear it play automatically when the play button is pressed? If not, can I upload my 'voices' rendition of 'I'd Rather Have Jesus' instead? Just in case you don't know, what I mean by 'voices' is that there are no words, just the 'voices' of each SATB part, of which there are 2. 'I'd Rather Have Jesus' was first copyrighted in 1922, 1950, copyright renewed in 1939, 1966 and originally written by Rhea F. Miller (words) who died of cancer at the age of 72 and George Beverly Shea (music) who died at the age of 104 and was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Oscars shortly before he died. He was a hymnodist and singer of many, many hymns and used to sing at Billy Graham's Crusades in front of thousands of people. I'm hoping that singers or at least one singer like Annika Laaksonen and Tiina Pakka on Letscappella will listen to it like it and attempt to sing it and upload it for me, crediting me as the music writer and the words to Rhea F. Miller. I would like to see you the makers of the Letscappella app much more popular. Does it have a Twitter, Faceboook, Instagram and YouTube presence. These are must in today's age for popularising one's product much further. I've listened to every song on Letscappella at least once and it didn't take me very long at all to do so because they're not many songs on it. Letscappella has many great features that even though I can't sing I imagine if I could would be very useful to me. I especially love the video aspect of it. Tiina Pakka did 6 vocal parts for her a cappella rendition of Ben E. King's Stand By Me, which is very impressive for just one person to do. Annika Laaksonen did the more conventional 4 vocal parts, SATB for her a cappella rendition of We Shall Overcome. Are you open to my ideas for other features which I believe could enhance and benefit Letscappella a cappella singers even more. If so, please let me know and I'll let you know them. Thanks. Tim Segun Aigoro.
