Awesome learning app
Got LUMI keys for Christmas and I absolutely love it. I’ve never played before but am finding my LUMI experience so enjoyable. Everything is broken down and I can repeat sections until I feel I have mastered it. I can do as little or as much as I like. It’s given me a new interest. Tutors are engaging and sections are quite short. Love it.
Not what it could be
This is so inconsistent you learn a piece of music one time it pauses and only moves on when you play. The next section won't but there's no consistency. Next you play a piece where the notes will move down again for one section of a song it will pause for another it won't no warning if it will or not no consistency. Why does it insist on always playing the note regardless of if you hit the key or not no you can't actually hear silence if you miss a note - no idea. Why can,t it show a good clear representation of each hand and notes at same time - no idea. Why can't you choose to play every single Song with it only moving on when you hit the right not, rather than when it decides to do that one section of a whole song - no idea.
Buggy and poorly designed
Now I know why so many Lumi keyboards appear on eBay. Great idea fundamentally flawed. iOS software is extremely buggy , even the app itself suggest killing the app if problems encountered, seriously !! Takes on average 10 mins to get setup. Having to always have an internet Canx is stupid , this means it can’t be used on a plane or when travelling. Would be nice if it remembered my login credentials.
Would be useful to have simple note learning flash cards or even to just show the note being played on a traditional sheet music scale.
I have ended up buying a Yamaha digital keyboard and making far quicker progress. Mine will end up joining the others on eBay
