Description

Using map notes, you can spread your ideas anywhere on an infinitely spread canvas.

I think the brain's work when considering ideas is a random and radial working image rather than linear. Traditional notes that need to be written sequentially from left to right are not very suitable for this process. If you use this infinite size notebook application, you can freely expand ideas from the center of the page, so you can make ideas more natural. Ideal for creating rough mind maps, brainstorming and idea sketches.

Great with Apple Pencil

I’ve just started using this app and I love it. It is simple, intuitive and, if you’ve got an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, better than mind mapping with paper and pencil! Def worth 99p
It could be improved, with a “save as”/“duplicate document” function, this would allow me to experiment with different versions of a mind map.
Also on my wish list would be a choice of grey in the colours, and the ability to bring in images/photos.

Brilliant

Needs richer tools i guess for the general market but the innovative “infinite” paper is perfect for large project brainstorming

Borderline unusable

Firstly, the performance is terrible, and I’m on a 2018 iPad Pro. Letters phase in and out of existence all the time. There is often extreme lag zooming in and out and moving around the map, or using the tools.

Speaking of the tools, they are just awful. The cut and paste function is laggy, unintuitive, and doesn’t tell you where you are pasting in before it does so meaning it is extremely imprecise. It’s also very laggy. The rubber tool is similarly poorly designed. I often found it impossible to rub out a small dot, meaning I had to write over it.

In total, this app is an utter waste of £1 and 1 hour of my life.
