Doesn’t connect to Marantz

Although it is called Marantz Remote, my copy finds my Roberts radio and my Yamaha hifi in other rooms but fails to see the Marantz mini system two foot away. Works well with the Roberts though - strange things computers!

Also it only seems to be able to play one track - if I chooses an album and click on the first track surely it should play all the tracks shown on the screen. Even if I set up a playlist it only plays the first track and I can’t find any setting tonchange this.

Ps It is now finding my Marantz but it’s pretty useless.

not pantz Yes it’s MaPantz

Just bought a marantz MCR610 and downloaded this app, worked fine does everything you need and is pretty straightforward and responsive. MCR610 then decided it was due a firmware upgrade which I duely sanctioned thinking it would be a good idea as it had likely been sitting in the box for months, update went fine but then remote app wouldnt function, just greyed out, tried various things but no joy, tried marantz website but of no real help.. in end decided to restore facory settings on the MCR610 and re-boot my router and hub, after completing quick set up for second time all working again.. only thing I dont know now is if I have rolled back the firmware or not..?!?!
Updated 2020 - works most of the time but looses connection frequently meaning that an album will stop playing half way through. Would have thought that by now it would have been fixed or even something new to the market. After 5 yrs I would not expect to have to deal with this rubbish. Presumably this is still what you get even if you buy a new Marantz product??!! Shameful

December 31st 2022 Works for me.

I use this app on my Marantz 610. The three line display on the unit is very limiting. This app will show you much more information the three line display can’t. I use the USB mode for most of the time, this app will list all the files, artist and tracks titles you have on the memory stick. It will also list saved radio stations. A lot easier than using the hand held remote to scroll through them on the units three line display. The Marantz 610 has been around for a decade and still performs very well. Most people wonder why track, artist and album information is not displayed when using CD’s. The answer is that most CD’s don’t have this information on the CD. It is only when you rip a CD through windows media player or iTunes that this information is retrieved from a data base. A good reason to store your albums on a memory stick. Hope this info helps.
