The Mascal Triage app was developed by healthcare professionals and researchers in the field of medical emergency and mass casualty incidents management, with the main objective of providing a training tool for triage and management of mass casualty incidents, through two dimensions that run simultaneously: command and control and operational in the field.In terms of command and control, the Mascal Triage app allows on-time monitoring of triages carried out in the field and live monitoring of the event, including geolocation, thus allowing more effective management of the event. On the same premise, it allows the instructor to remotely monitor the exercise. In operational terms on the ground, the Mascal Triage app presents itself as a decision-making support tool, in the application of primary triage (START methodology), secondary triage (TRTS methodology), treatment area (ISS methodology, clinical note and treatment records), ending with hospital admission (with the respective triage). The Mascal Triage app allows field operators to use a digital tool that supports the victim's complete circuit, in all its phases and vectors of a mass casualty incident.
