Meridian 157: Chapter 3 12+

The biggest chapter so far…. These guys are the best! I’m absolutely loving this game, quite tricky in parts but that’s the beauty of their work. So original, I just don’t understand why apple doesn’t plaster something of this quality across the games first page it’s ridiculous as I nearly missed it again, luckily I always return to meridian when I’m looking for a game similar imagine my delight when I saw a 3rd chapter! I can’t believe how cheap it was too…. Very undervalued, a definite £5 game for 2.99? You guys are wonderful, I feel so lucky to be able to experience your great imagination and talent, I haven’t finished yet….. trying to make it last as few games this good on offer. Don’t hesitate to buy this wonderful series!

Edit: so I’ve just binge played till the end and what an ending, I think this is probably one of the best game series ever made especially on iOS, the ending was unbelievable left me quite emotional, I will never forget this epic series.

I have struggled in vain to find a game as good as the room. I tried the house of da Vinci games which were ok but a bit clunky and also I found the storylines lines a bit boring. But this blew me away! The research and attention to detail is impressive, the art is fantastic and with the story, I found this game hauntingly addictive and dark. It’s not too easy either so takes a good amount of time to complete. There are probably fewer things to click on than the room and I’d say that the room has more complexity and diversity in the type of tasks you complete. But meridian 157 makes up for this with its addictive story lines and beautiful artwork. You can tell the writers put their heart and soul to into its development. I can’t wait to see what else they create! 5 STARS!!!

All three games in this series are excellent value for money. The puzzles are, in the main, original and, often, challenging. The hint system keeps things moving along. I’m not sure I could have completed the games without it. I think the second game was my favourite - mainly because of the beautiful, snowy landscape in its final part. Which brings me to a small criticism. I found the games endless tunnels and corridors at times confusing and a bit boring. But don’t let that put you off. This is a quality point and click adventure and well worth your time. I look forward to more games from Novasoft.
