Metal Detector 4+

The summer of 2019 in the UK was awful, it rained nearly all the time. I never put my rotary washing line out that year, I just tumble-dried everything. With the gorgeous UK weather we are having in 2020, I decided to get the washing line out. The problem was that the peg in the ground was impossible to see. I tried banging a broom handle on the turf to see if it would go through to the hollow peg in the earth, but no luck. I then decided to download this program. I set it to maximum sensitivity ... and found the peg in less than a minute! I was skeptical at first, as there was no visual evidence of the peg on the spot it detected ... however I tested it with the broom handle, and to my delight it went straight through the grass and down into the peg!

Since going on holiday our rotary washing line ground stake decided to try a Houdini disappearing act on us. After an hour on my hands and knees searching I gave up hope. My wife put a request on facebook for anyone with a metal detector to get in touch and I suddenly wondered if there was an app. To my surprise there was and even more to my surprise it only went and worked. My wife is now super happy she has her whirly gig back, the washing not so much as it has even more work to do. 5 stars!!

I Thought this was gimmick (the review above is taking the pss). I needed to drill a couple of holes in the wall to put some pictures up. I wanted to check there were no cables behind the wall. If you move the phone around near metal it does actually detect it quite accurately. Must be using the thing that iPhone uses for wireless charging. Anyway it saved me £50 buying a wall detector!
