Microsoft To Do 4+

Still room for improvements to this platform but it works pretty much the same as Wunderlist did. Very useful for reminders and scheduling things to do. The only thing I wish it did exactly the same as Wunderlist did was, when you set a date something was due, it automatically set or changed a reminder date & time to the same. If you didn't want a reminder there was a small cross next to do it delete it. I loved that functionality. Also, when you go to move a task or multiple tasks on, it says next day, next week, would be good if there was an option for next month, which moves it to the same date of the following month. They're just my personal preferences of what would make it easier for me.

As an app on mac and phone, it works really well for shopping, packing, work and general to do lists. Simple and easy to put list together and categorise them.
If you want to add more elements to a workflow list and alocate time and deadlines to individual tasks, its good for that as well, i find myself not using those functions all that often though. It would be good to see the deadlines pop up on my outlook calendar but as far as i can see that isnt a function available currently.
Additionally, i feel like this could be expanded to include "checklists", slightly different to a to do list, in that it would be a repeatable set of instructions to follow that you could refresh onece each job is complete.... e.g. setting up an experiement. step 1: book lab time, step 2: allocate materials, step 3: prepare materials, step 4: setup, step 5: notes, step 6: start/monitor, step 7: end/clean up, step 8: notes.
Once its completed it resests with the ability to add notes or extra steps. I dont feel like it would mechanically be that different to the "to do" lists, just a repeatable saveable list

I get value out of this and it helps me organise my tasks in a complex work environment. It would be significantly enhanced with additional features.
* The hashtag feature is good but could be so much better. Showing a list of hashtags that would give an easy access to all tasks tagged with that hashtag would not only save time typing the name of the tag but serve as a quick reminder of the tags I have decided to use, avoidning hashtag creep. Also, it offers to autocomplete known tags in the "Add a task" box at the bottom, but nowhere else, for example when editing tasks or adding subtasks for example. This should be done anywhere.
* I would prefer no distinguish between tasks and projects but rather allow any task to be broken down into subtasks, each of which can be further broken down, etc, to arbitrary depth.
* Search could be enhanced. For example I would like to search for tasks that lack any hashtag, or are not tagged with a specific hashtag, are in a given project or projects. Put simply, boolean search operators with searching for entities (hashtags, lists).
