At last…a game with no ads!!
As I enjoy Midsomer, thought I’d give this a go. What a joy to play a game that doesn’t include ads every 2 minutes!! And it’s a nice change to do the word games rather than the tired old “matching blocks” format. And you don’t have to spend loads of money to progress. The only downside is that progression is very slow…you only have 6 teapots, so play 6 word games, to earn 6 points…using 2 each time you examine something or talk to someone, so your actual progression through the game is slow. Of course, I understand that it’s so you will buy more life, and rather that than annoying adverts, so that’s the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars.
A nice brain out of gear game
When you first try to load the game it tends to freeze, then can take a minute or two to load, if you are lucky, before entering the game. It is a simple idea, solve the scrambled words and gain badges to solve the crime. You don’t actually have to solve or accuse anyone, the game decides. The words are fed into a grid, with extras available, though how they find as many as they claim is beyond me. For example you may be given toffee as a word and they say that there are 25 words to be made (this is a made up example but similar in theory) with some words so obscure they are not in the English dictionary. It is fun but not really brain tingling. Four stars
Love it
Been playing this game with the wife for a while now still not bored although as somebody else has mentioned some words are stupid ie.. a BOWER (ladies personal hideaway within a medieval castle) how is your common -or- garden person supposed to know that, some of it is just guess work of course the ads popping up all the time is annoying. When the teapots run down just use the coins can’t use them for anything else unless you want to use in game purchases (nope) guess the words, collect the badges when there’s enough 200 or more go to the game to help Elizabeth and Paddy solve the cases.
