It’s been a big year for Milkshake releases but this may be the version bump we are the most excited about. Image editing is (finally) here! You can now crop, rotate and scale your images when adding them to your Milkshake site.

This is a great app! I wanted to build a website for free, and this is the perfect app to do that! I wanted to do a website for my superhero books (I’ve only done one), I was looking on safari and I was like “all these website building thingys cost money” and then I was like “let’s try the App Store!” And this popped up, and it just the thing I needed!
I’m not quite sure if you’ve already done this, but I was wondering if you could sell stuff in there, that would take my books to a whole new level!

Easy to use, website in minutes!
I wanted a website that would appeal to a younger audience that highlighted video and photo content over just words on a page - milkshake does just that. As someone who has never coded and never built a website I needed something that take my idea from concept to product in minutes. The website builder is incredibly easy to use and the design are really attractive. My only critiques and the reason I give 4 stars would be: 1) let people prepare the site in draft before formally publishing, 2) allow for more customisation on each slide - e.g. I want to be able to move the photo placement or realign the text. That said I tried and failed with some other website design platforms and the fact I have my milkshake website up and active is testament to just how easy it is to use. I’ve already had compliments on the look and feel too!

Cracking little app
Really intuitive and easy to use. It’s looks fantastic. I’ve been adding and sharing recipes with my friends/ Instagram.
It’s a lot easier to use than Wordpress/ Squarespace which I’ve struggled with.
There are a couple of drawbacks for me though;
- It’s looks rubbish when opened on desktop, only optimised for phone. It literally shows the site on a tiny square in middle of a blank page - anyway to change this?
- I’m paying for the subscription and have linked it back a my own domain but I can’t shake off the - “free website builder” bit on the link bio - would be more than happy to pay more for the option to remove?
- no option to catergorise pages so my homepage is turning into one massive list at the moment. A nice drop down filter would be great.
All in all a great app for the amateur like me but I imagine anyone with a bit of skill would find it too limiting.
All in all probably the best of its kind.
