Mini Golf King - Multiplayer 17+

Excellent game, and loads of fun and really addictive. One minor nitpick I would say is that when the pop up comes asking you to rate the app, it is not always clear whether it’s asking do you enjoyed the app, or do you want to rate the app. Meaning, when I click no, it means that I am not enjoying it when really I am. I have only recently found out that there is a cross in the corner to get rid of that pop-up. I struggle to see that but I have a visual impairment and I am only looking at the middle of the screen. Can you fix that in the future please, so that it says do you want to rate the app. This would mean that if I clicked no, it would mean that I just didn’t want to rate the app right now, and not that I didn’t like the game.

This is the first app I’ve reviewed and am only doing so as it’s taken up so much of my time and is just so frustrating!! Ok so to be fair, the gameplay in this is actually very good and really addictive. My daughter even likes to play the lower levels and enjoys it.....but it really is only fun for the first few levels. Unfortunately once you get to level 7 or 8, it becomes really hard to make any progress unless you spend a load of cash...and I mean hundreds. I spent a little as I got suckered in, but turns out the equipment you get is totally random anyway and not worth the cost. You are matched against players way higher level than you and if you are lucky you occasionally get what seem like bots, hitting random shots way to quickly and in the wrong direction. As you progress you can no longer increase your level without playing matches at the hardest levels and these cost loads of coin to play each one hole match. Lvl 1 is 200 coins to play 1 match...lvl 9 is 1,800,000 coins! To buy the equivalent coins for one lvl 9 match via their store costs £99 !! Granted, if you win you double your coins but when you are constantly matched against high level (real or otherwise) players...you are constantly low on coins and pushed to make purchases. Drives you mad! Anyway, prob way too much detail there, but play at your own risk. Shame really, as it could be amazing if the developers weren’t so desperate to take our cash at every single opportunity.

I don’t usually write reviews for apps/games. But I feel compelled to do so, if only to make the developers realise that people understand what a scam their game is. In simple, if you do not spend money, you will not get anywhere!!
I can highlight 2 examples of this. Having made my way through the levels, and accumulated a decent amount of coins, I played games at level 7 and level 8 - against “players” who had obviously bought a package of some description at some point (clown package?!) The results? Opponent goes first (of course they do, it’s NOT random), the wind shows as a 4.5 headwind... But hold on, for their go the headwind is only 2.2! Oh, now it’s 4.5 for MY go!! How strange! Both games continued in that vain, with the wind ridiculously in their favour. The result? 800,000 coins gone, resulting me in either working my way up through the levels, or - wait for it - BUYING coins, club packages, etc to put me on a “level playing field”. But for how long?!
My 6 year old daughter enjoys playing this game too, but even she can see how unfair it becomes beyond level 5. What do I tell her? You get nowhere in this world without paying for it? Greedy greedy people, shame on you...
