In the above mentioned beyerdynamic Bluetooth® headphones, sound personalization by Mimi DefinedTM. Participate in a 2-minute long hearing test using the app and upload your sound profile directly to the headphones. Enjoy your music with sound that is perfectly tailored to you
Gain insight into your individual listening habits: the MIY app measures duration and volume of your daily listening. The so calculated sound dosage indicates when you should give your hearing a break.
TOUCH / REMOTE
The Aventho wireless, Amiron wireless and LAGOON ANC are controlled via the touch pad on the right ear cup. You can adjust the sensitivity of the touch pad according to your personal preferences. For Xelento wireless, you can find out about all features of the remote control.

Doesn’t work very well at all
On my Amiron wireless headphones and with IPhone, often the sound in headphones returns to neutral and the app when opened is at initial registration page - you need to close the app down and restart it at which point it connects to the headphones and there is a sudden disconcerting jump in volume.
Edit - Beyerdynamic support have been fantastic, investigated and helped find a workaround which is to load the profile up into the headphones then close the app down. The user profile remains loaded on the headphones. So not ideal but the Beyerdynamic support team displayed superb customer service and have shown how much they will support their customers as they regard this as the UI for their headphones... I have every confidence that this app will only improve...

Withdrawn support for my headphones
Since the latest update, October 2020, the app now complains that my hearing test was done with uncalibrated headphones. It wasn't, I'm using the same beyerdynamic headphones I always have and the same ones I did my hearing test with in June. Plus, the previous version of the app was happy with the same setup.
Turns out Beyerdynamic are in the process of pulling support for my headphones! That's how little they think of customers who have bought their products. Shame on the people making these business decisions. I therefore will never have solutions to the problems I describe here.
When it works all is fine. When it doesn't work you have to restart your iPhone and reset your headphones before the app will pair with them.
After this you'll need to pair the headphones again with all devices - for me that is my Apple TV and my MacBook Pro, as well as my iPhone.
Sometimes the app asks you yo redo your listening profile! If this happens force quit it and open it again and it won't suggest that. So annoying.
This all adds up to being a huge pain, as you never know when these headphones are going to let you down. Ultimately it's a very poor experience for headphones that cost a lot of money!

It might happen, that after a firmware update or app update, the sound personalization engine will ask you to take a new hearing test.
