Ugh. I bit the bullet and purchased the Direct Downloads, imported transactions, set everything up. Then when the 5.3.3 update installed it wiped all my transactions!? I can still see them on the iPad and iPhone versions but nothing on my Mac. Nada. Plus I have a product with TESCO Bank which I have set up with Direct Downloads, but it just doesn’t work. It goes through the process of connecting to the bank but nothing downloads. Too many bugs at the moment to trust this software with financial data—and to pay almost £5 a month for connectivity to your bank is just not worth it. If the software was rock solid reliable then maybe. Come on Jumsoft. You’ve got a great user experience. Now back it up with quality.

**1st Update** They fixed the disappearing transactions issue in 5.3.4 so I have increased my rating to 3 stars. I have a lot of hope for this software (love the UI design) but am still nervous that Jumsoft does not have adaquate testing procedures on their software before releasing it. For example, the direct downloads for TESCO Bank still don’t work. With financial data at stake they need to be more thorough with their testing and get fixes out quicker.

**2nd Update** The direct downloads with TESCO Bank are now working.

More impressed now

Happy user of Money for many years. Then came Catalina, so had to upgrade to the laterst version. Not straightforward, but eventually got there. It now takes ages to load the accounts, and ages to add a new entry (but see below for an update). The option to automatically pay items from the Scheduler seems to have gone, so each one has to be manually accepted. The freedom to customise standard reports seems to have gone (though the standard reports give results quickly).
Not such a happy user now Imagine I'll be looking for an alternative before long.

UPDATE - the speed problem was with a degraded telephone line affecting internet - for some reason the place it showed up most strongly was in Money.

Very Disapointing

I find this version of money from jumpsoft far too complicated for the basic needs of a family accounting system in my opinion. If you are a bookkeeper or trained accountent I am sure it is pretty good. However not for me. It is also disapointing that one cannot use the earlier versions of money on updated Apple hardware. They now without makeing it obvious get you to use this version and after you have carried out 100 transations without letting you know at the begining sudenly stop all additional transactions. So the time you have tried to learn this version is wasted. One month is not long enough to experiance this more complicated version of money. You now have to pay for the updated version at a cost of arround £50 a year. It is typical of companies dangeling the fishing line and when you bite they then stop the service unless you pay. Why carnt all developers of apps be open and up front with their fees and costs before you spend hours and hours trying to learn new software. They should allow at least 3 months of unlimited use to see if it suited for you before start charging.
