MoneyWiz 2024 Finance Tracker 4+

I was determined not to go down the subscription route, it seemed counter intuitive to spend money on order to manage it … so I tried a number of free money apps to keep track of my multiple bank accounts, credit cards and investments. Having wasted lots of time and raised my blood pressure through the roof with app-rage, I got rid of them all and trialled MoneyWiz. I immediately saw why this app is a paid app, it just works. Simple to load up the accounts and repeat transactions, budgets are clean and logical. I love the personalisation options. Changing logos on accounts, the inclusion of emojis for budget summaries, the list goes on. I initially trialled the full app and linked it with my banks and credit cards, which preloaded some historical data, but I wasn’t keen on the Saltedge system and deactivated that function and bought the unconnected version. I had a small issue with an error message having disconnected from my banks, but I contacted the dev team who got back to me within 20 minutes with the solution. A simple setting I had missed and not an app fault. I keep playing with the app, the settings and the functions and keep discovering things that make me smile. The dev team really have thought this through and have an excellent product that I am more than happy to pay for.

I have used older versions of moneywiz for many years and have just finished my first year with the latest version. I have had a few small issues partially due to my poor misunderstanding and partly due to the lack of enough easy to understand information as with lots of products these days. However a product is only as good as it’s support and money wiz support, in my opinion is outstanding, offering quick helpful responses whatever day it is. I have had a lot of help from Paul who always perseveres till he gets things sorted. I do think that I probably don’t need everything that the 2023 version offers as I really just want to keep my current account and savings in one place, record direct debits, transfers, and any incoming payments etc. Speaking to others I think lots of people feel the same. Maybe a slimmed down version would be popular. Finally a big thank you to Paul for all his help and patience.

I've been using MoneyWiz in its various forms since 2013 and have been very happy with how it runs and how it has developed. I was sad to say goodbye to MS Money and was a little aprehensive when I first started, but once I got the hang of its intuitive funcitonality, there's been no looking back. It is my essential money management tool across multiple accounts, credit cards and investment accounts. I really love the seamless way I can use MoneyWiz across my Mac, iPad and iPhone with very little synch lag. The support is excellent - every time I reach out with a query, I get a swift reply that comprehensively guides me through the problem solving (mostly caused by me in the first place!). A big shout out to Paul for his excellent support and customer service. Very definitely recommend this app. I have not received any reward for writing this review.
