This is a great must have addition to the Mac. However, there is one caveat in that switching between desktops causes the screen to flash between the default brightness and MonitorControls overlay. I am assuming this app works by injecting black pixels over the screen image, to my dissapointment. Initially, I thought it was actually controlling the built-in monitor brightness settings that you have to use those hard to find buttons on the monitor to configure!

What more can I say other than it works exactly as it claims. It's hard to believe that this is still not built in to the ecosystem, but hey ho, at least I can now control the brigthness of my Dell monitor and my Macbook simultaniously. It's also free with no hidden app purchases. It's already on my must-have list of apps to install on every new device. Thanks!

I saw this great app recommended online so quickly installed. Its the easiest way to control mac screens. Its already saved to backup incase we get new macs (fingers crossed)By the way, would love a way to save different settings depending on lighing conditions - thanks

Great app. Allows to control brightness of the external monitor without reducing the picture quality. No brainer. The best of quite a few i have tried.
