Purr-fectly fun game!
I’ve been a fan of MH for many years, so to have this addictive and fun game to while away the odd moments is great. Easy to pick up, hard to put down! Customisation is great and allows you to put your own touch to the game.
As great as the game is
It’s fun, cute, addictive. It’s not just a boring puzzle game there’s lots to do and it still stays true to how monster hunter works. It works well, I’ve had no issues. But they've added as many mobile game mechanics as they possibly could.
I’m glad it’s not trying to push MTs in your face as much as other games and Ads are optional.
But as you level up more and more and more just keeps getting added to your screen, there’s a ton of extra game types which is great but a lot of it is also to do with making you stay and maybe spend money. It was the chest that you fill with gems over time then pay to get them at the end that was the last straw for me not to get annoyed.
I know this stuff is normal now and I feel like they’ve made a good balance, especially as it’s a free to play, well made game. But I am starting to get a bit overwhelmed, not just with MTs but there is also tons to do and different ways to play rather than the standard go down the story route.
It seems easy to get lost in the game or just forget parts of it exist once you get deeper in as there’s just so much. Which also makes you play it for a longer time! Which is both good and bad.
Combination powers not as strong as they should be
The game is good, however the difficukt has been made way too hard purely by the fact that the powers aren’t efficient at all. Often seems like blocks you need to break, boxes, ice etc. only take 1 damaging hit a turn even after being hit multiple times by powers. For example combing the horn and boomerang is so inefficient because the boomerangs only target things once instead of multiple times. Makes levels so much harder. These tactics work so much better in a game like Royal Match. Hope this can be fixed because i’d love to play more but the difficult is just too much very often past quest 100 and the current event quests when these powers feels like they don’t even work to their maximum potential.
