Description
Free official guide to the Museo Galileo.
This guide will accompany your visit with audio commentary, text pages, and videos as you discover the outstanding collections of scientific instruments gathered over approximately four centuries by the Medici and Lorraine dynasties. Toward the mid-sixteenth century, Cosimo I de’ Medici formed the first nucleus of the collections exhibited in the Museum today. Highlights include all the original instruments designed by Galileo, including his only two surviving telescopes.
The guide provides information on all the items on display.

Highly Informative
I wish every museum had this app! It was particularly useful in a science museum as there was lots of extra videos showing how the instruments work and demonstrating scientific principles behind many of the machines and instruments.
It was very easy to follow along while moving through the museum. Very impressed. I’ve been continuing to use this app for entertainment even after returning to the U.K. Recommended 👍

Full of useful information in both italin and English about most of the things in the museum. 100% recomed if you’re there and want to know more or if you need information on any of the things there for school work.
Needs Updating
The museum is full of interesting exhibits and items, but not enough of them are covered on the audio guide. It has great explanations in English and Italian but the app crashes often. Sometimes buttons and links disappear, leaving you stuck on the same page and having to close and reopen the app. It’s got a lot of good stuff, just not the easiest to use!
