My Chihiros 4+

Bought a RGB vivid mini friday. It arrived Saturday. Got it all set up above my tank only for it to not connect to any of my devices. Tried 2 different iphones and ipads. Still the same. Thought it must be faulty so ordered another one which arrived today. Same issue as before. No connection. Unfortunately it’s unusable just runs at 100%. Pathetic for such an expensive light.

This app glitches quite a lot and looses data when you save it.

Since a recent update it doesn’t show my lights at all which makes them essentially useless. The chihiros lights are over reliant on the app especially with all the issues it has.

The designers desperately need to check the colour contrast against WCAG WAI standards. In most cases, the contrast is insufficient to read the text. In particular, the title of the days when adding a time setting and the label colour on I completed fields for setting username and password which is almost grey on grey, add device icon is red on black, etc. There are other areas which could also do with review. I’ve marked the app down purely for these reasons as there should be no barrier to using the app.

However, connecting was reasonably easy and the time period setting is nicely visual (although again there is insufficient contrast on the ramp up times). Can’t quite work out the relationship between a tank and a device and the UX here needs reviewing
