I booked a long awaited holiday for June. I took out the insurance which I don’t normally do. Unfortunately, my husband was diagnosed with a life threatening heart condition and his surgery was scheduled for 24 May 23. I called Haven and cancelled our booking and received a full refund. I cannot rate Haven enough. The understanding person that I spoke to was amazing. So professional. 10/10 is my rating. You should be proud of yourselves. You put my mind at rest and that is why I have booked again for 29 September now my husband is well enough to be able to travel after major surgery and bring in life support for 4 weeks. On arrival sick in garden , no gas boiler broke , went to cook food , spaghetti Bol still in pans with mould on , ask for new ones they said just clean them what’s the problem! Sick in garden birds cleaned that up gas and boiler, gas waited 3 hours for I fixed the boiler , pans we finally got one at 7 pm at night off the security, missed most off the shows , swimming you have to book , ok so we tried, family off 8 over 4 nights got 1 hour session split up in twos over the last day , when the place is empty, getting a bike was also the same 10 bikes parked up but not allowed one as short staff , when there is more staff them gusts, payed for bed linen only got enough for 6 , fold out bed had nothing, when asked there is a linen shortage across the country, but why say you can have 8 in a caravan when u can only do 6 , my self slept in the bed with no linen woke up attack buy bed mits/ scapes , now got to go doctors for fungal cream , mash and barrel , bar girl viv !! Mimicking me when ordering food when challenged got back chat , went to reception to challenge them on her attitude they said not there problem , my family travel away from the site for a family meal I refused to spend another penny, hole place is a joke staff horrible place is disgusting the worse haven site I been too and me and my family go to one every year the whole place wants shutting down then non off you lot will have jobs !!!!!!! Clearly you don’t like ur job

Where to start On entering the allocated caravan there was a bit of disappointment.. the tv wall bracket was empty with a scatt lead hanging down The small tv was sat on a table . The caravan smelt of stale cigarettes and being a smoker who does not smoke indoors with a few of us who do not smoke we’re a bit disappointed. There was a strange pungent smell from the shower room ( found out the toilet was leaking) it rained for 3 days can’t help that and still planned to have fun but on the second day the place was flooded.. someone forgot to put the pumps on .. how can a place forgot that .. the night life was a bit hectic with someone attacking one of the staff members and refused to leave the premises but the bar staff kept serving them drinks .. paid over the odds for the caravan while my sister paid over £100 less for her caravan and it was like a wee palace .. not enough street lights so dark you need a few torches so with the flooding and rain a few trips or walking right into the flooding was inevitable.. (take an inflatable dinghy just in case) the food was blah the people just ignored you no smiles no welcome .. was double charged for drinks out daughter had paid then the server told my husband the price and took his payment .. got the towel bale as an extra they were in an extremely dirty (dust) clear bag so we did not use them took our own towels just incase so was sorted .. at night there is no crazy golf foot golf and snooker golf and that’s the time parents would like to tire out the kids after dinner and before bed .. the staff seem a bit disheartened and too much for so few staff

Yesterday I changed a booking, swapping two bronze for a gold over the festive season. The booking still appears in the app. I’ve been trying to book extra accommodation but I cannot select the type of holiday home and because of this I won’t make a booking through the app. Presently I’m on site and they don’t charge you for editing a booking onsite. If you’re new to Haven please ask questions as there are types of accommodation that are not listed on the website.If I would have known about the various types of rooms the booking would have been much more straightforward. At the time of booking in April, I could not book gold accommodation.What’s unusual is that depending on the device you use and when you use your technology, you can get quite different prices as well as accommodation options. If you’re a Blue Light user it’s much cheaper to book directly with Haven. With my NHS ‘special deal’ I would have paid over £1.000 but booking directly I paid less than half for the same deal!I do want to send a note of appreciation to the staff who are friendly and responsive to resolving issues promptly. The customer service is very good. The app wants to do away with the lovely Haven Staff. Please consider paying the extra to speak with a customer care person and ask questions to get your holiday needs met as the website is not nearly as accessible or as knowledgeable as the staff. Thanks to all the humans at Haven I’m enjoying my well earned vacation!
