myAberdeenshire is the official free app from Aberdeenshire Council.
Use it to:
• Waste bin collection dates and reminders
• School closure updates and information
• Road closures and notifications
• Raise Support requests with the Council
• Report issues to your council, such as road faults, street lights. missed bins and fly tipping.
• See the locations of all recycling points in Aberdeenshire
• Check the latest Aberdeenshire Council news
• Access apps for services such as libraries and parking
• Find details about Councillors in Aberdeenshire, including yours
• Up-to-date information about gritting routes, gritter vehicle locations and grit bins
• Request gritter bin refilling, report issues and request relocation or a new bin
We plan to add more features and services, allowing you to change the way you interact with Aberdeenshire Council.

Working after initial problems
Initially the app didn’t recognise my postcode. Couldn’t do anything with it after I clicked ‚i do this later‘. Just showed a blank screen.
After restarting phone and app it allowed me to amend address and I could access the services.
App seems alright, shows services and allows to report issues - okay.

Okay ish
Your support section isn’t working, when you touch it on your phone, it won’t scroll down to view all your support pages.

The Support function allows users to send support queries regarding various issues - the list is alphabetical (except 'Mobile App' at the top of the list) and runs from 'Business' to 'Waste'. There whitespace below 'Waste' though.

As an employee of Aberdeenshire Council being a school teacher I thought this app would be a benefit to have during the storms. Wrong. Can’t even use it as claims my postcode isn’t in the shire. This was my last hope to keep up to date with school closures - when the power goes here we don’t have access to internet/phone signal/4G for days. This would make my morning easier when on the hunt for some signal and some normality.
