MyChart puts your health information in the palm of your hand and helps you conveniently manage care for yourself and your family members. With MyChart you can: • Communicate with your care team. • Review test results, medication, immunisation history, and other health information. • Connect your account to Apple Health to pull health-related data from your personal devices right into MyChart. • View your After Visit Summary® for past visits and hospital stays, along with any clinical notes your clinician has recorded and shared with you. • Book and manage appointments, including in-person visits and video visits. • Get price estimates for the cost of care. • View and pay your medical bills. • Securely share your medical record from anywhere with anyone who has Internet access. • Connect your accounts from other healthcare organisations so you can see all your health information in one place, even if you've been seen at multiple healthcare organizations. • Receive push notifications when new information is available in MyChart. You can check whether push notifications are enabled under the Account Settings within the app. Select features are also available on Apple Watch. Note that what you can see and do within the MyChart app depends on which features your healthcare organisation has enabled and whether they’re using the latest version of Epic software. If you have questions about what’s available, contact your healthcare organisation. To access MyChart, you must create an account with your healthcare organisation. To sign up for an account, download the app and search for your healthcare organisation or go to your healthcare organisation’s MyChart website. After you’ve signed up, turn on Face ID, Touch ID, or a four-digit passcode to quickly log in without needing to use your MyChart username and password each time. Then, make sure you have push notifications enabled to receive updates on your device when new information is available in MyChart. By far the best thing an NHS hospital has done

Instead of wasting hundreds of millions on grandiose IT projects, UCL hospital trust has taken the smart route and not re-invented a wonky wheel and bought a proven ready made product. I don’t understand why this is not the standard at ALL UK hospitals. Instead the NHS allows each hospital trust to SQUANDER taxpayer money re-inventing the wheel, where I see mediocre re-invented versions of MyCare/MyCharts at each Trust. Not seen anything better. This is why UK NHS is so short of money, - it wastes and squanders so much. UCLHospital Trust has the smarts to choose this system, why don’t other Trusts follow? Oh yes, because they have a bottomless taxpayer funding and sky high egos wanting to be “original mediocre” instead of following UCLH’s example. In privatised medicine this kind of unaccountable colossal waste would never happen. One hospital Trust would pilot it, and if successful, all hospitals would be required to follow it, and if unsuccessful all hospitals would avoid it. Unfortunately the NHS lacks national coordination when it comes to that.It’s a pity the makers of MyCharts are not marketing their app to the other Trusts, perhaps they simply don’t know it exists, and the cost /benefit of running it vs their own half baked version or other rival system which operates in a silo.

The most comprehensive & accessible app I’ve yet encountered

Don’t worry about using this app even if your not familiar with apps. It’s extremely easy to get to know. It’s not complicated because there isn’t a lot of extraneous pointless stuff to wade through. Face recognition lets you access your important information seamlessly. You can ask questions about your treatment & the admin team & clinical team are both responsive & helpful in answering. The response rate/ speed is impressive but the most amazing thing is that you communicate with an actual human who has your medical history & not a faceless robot sending out pointless FAQs which don’t help at all. Much better than the NHS app which is unwieldy & missing vital information so that even the medics can’t find your basic information without referring to you. I would recommend anyone to use My Chart ❤️

I have to access several apps for appointments, reviews and summaries regards various medical conditions that I have. MyChart is by far the best of these apps and should be looked upon by other NHS trusts as a template for their apps. I also don’t understand why the NHS Systems do not link up or are able to “talk” to each other. (Understand why a massive singular digital system is probably not suitable given the rise in cyber crimes) but why can’t the patient/doctor/healthcare worker log into whatever platform their trusts uses & when a name is entered along with NHS/Hospital number inputted if you want to you can see all medical records held? MyChart is easy to use, it’s clear interface makes navigation -even on a smartphone simple to navigate. It design is clear and there is no confusion where to go or what or how you search for things. Obviously any app is only as good as the person/people and other connected systems are at accurately collecting data and it being fed into MyChart. But this app gives you everything your test results, -rays etc all at a simple glance. One thing that would be handy and that’s probably down to the individual hospitals that use this app,would be to be able to see the x-rays and or scans done.

I have to access several apps for appointments, reviews and summaries regards various medical conditions that I have. MyChart is by far the best of these apps and should be looked upon by other NHS trusts as a template for their apps. I also don’t understand why the NHS Systems do not link up or are able to “talk” to each other. Needs some changes

This app is great for looking at results compared to the NHS app, I really like how you can see in a chart form where your results fit as someone with no medical background it’s great to see how good or bad a result is but there’s one tiny thing that may need looking into which is why I downloaded the app. I’ve been referred to a NHS dental medical centre for my wisdom tooth removal, now I can see from 2022 when I had my last two removed at the main hospital which I do have for one of my profiles but there is no option to add my local NHS dental centre to see about my referral as I have had my first appointment and waiting for my second appointment via letter and as it’s taking some time (over a month) I thought I’d jump the gun and see if I could see on this app what is going on and be updated, see about my previous appointment and double check if it was a letter I was waiting on, if I needed to do something my end like ring them up. I totally understand the NHS for wanting to go paperless (it states this on the app) but in order to do that all respective hospitals/medical centres should be listed on the app. So unless you get referred to the same hospital good luck looking for your appointment information

Needs some changes

The minimum OS version required to update MyChart has been increased to iOS 18. MyChart now supports a more personalised homepage experience. Gestational age is now shown in the visit details screen for those who have a pregnancy care journey. These features might become available to you after your healthcare organisation starts using the latest version of Epic.
