The #1 RAF Air Cadet Application
For years the RAF Air Cadets have used a paper based system to monitor and track how their Air Cadets Journey is progressing. This app replaces the commonly referred to F3822 (Blue book) for something that represents the digital age we live in and more importantly - represents the technological advancements being made in the RAF.
Features:
- Access your Personal MyRAFAC ID card
- View your Personal Details and Emergency Contact information
- View your Aviation and Marksmanship logs, and First Aid badges
- See the latest announcements from MyRAFAC
- Sign up to and view your events
- Upload a new profile photo to Cadet Portal
What’s New
Version 1.3.2
New feature - Users can now upload their profile picture for validation on Cadet Portal!
Various bug fixes relating to events & signup.
Ratings and Reviews
Good Idea but Needs Improvement
The app itself, great. No problems at all. Functions well, close to no glitches but there are of course, as with everything, a few improvements to be made. As a cadet, it’s really helpful if we could access events we may be going on or considering joining and if we could see our virtual brassard. I myself thing it would also be a good addition if you just add everything that’s on cadet portal to this app and make it much more centralised, then there is no need for the website and the blue books any longer. Overall a good app with good experiences just add a few things to make cadets lives a lot more easier. 😁
This app is great
As you can probs tell I am an air cadet and find this app great. It tells you if you can go to an event were it is and most importantly your Rafac ID. However the website is better for booking events, vertical brassard, recording absences. This app is great for just checking the events however when you get home you should look at a laptop or just the website. Also takes a while to update so if an event was added for this weekend and just put on the app probs would not have it. However just for a quick glance at the announcements and stuff it’s great.
Disappointing
Our expectations have not been met. We expected not to require wifi to access the ID as it should work exactly the same as the paper copy, this is very inconvenient, as on camps it is often inaccessible. On camps charging facilities may be unavailable so it is not a fully competent replacement. We would appreciate the ability to download the ID or even upload it to our apple wallets. We also expected it to fully replace cadet portal with our downloads, attendance, virtual brassard, etc yet we still have to log into the website when there is an app…? We also have comments from members of our squadron that they find it incredibly difficult to navigate. We are looking forward to your feedback and thereafter improvements to the app.
Thank you, a disappointed ATC Squadron.
