It’s the back up that counts……

After looking for weeks at reviews with decided on the Nanit Pro.
For the first few weeks, we found it to be absolutely amazing. However we had a major problem with disconnections in the night after contacting Customer Services several times and getting comprehensive responses, we still couldn’t get it to connect. This was causing distress at night. After several weeks of backwards and forwards with the custom services, finally they upgraded the server and this seem to fix everything and they were very helpful with ensuring we were happy customers. so I would be happy to recommend
This company, even though we had a few issues due to the fact that when your breaking, there’s always going to be setbacks and we have to be happy that company is like this or pushing the boundaries of siblings surveillance.

A great device

So it’s obviously not cheap, but you definitely get your money’s worth. The camera is excellent, and the technology that can determine when your baby is awake or is being lifted out of bed asleep etc is very impressive. The breathing band is also excellent for peace of mind and we appreciated that it didn’t involve any electronics being attached to the baby’s body. The only thing I didn’t really appreciate were some of the tips. For example, we repeatedly received a tip advising that we didn’t need to be night feeding any more, which I found annoying as we were following a separate plan for his feeds and we knew what we were doing and didn’t need Nanit’s advice. It took me a minute to realise you could turn these sorts of tips off, so it’s good if people know that up front. But honestly other than that it’s been a brilliant investment

Generally pretty great

We’ve been using Nanit with our son for a couple of months now - it’s pretty great. We tend to have the video feed up on an iPad and this works well - means we can properly keep an eye on him while we’re next door. A couple of things worth bearing in mind if you’re considering whether to get a Nanit: 1. Breathing wear isn’t brilliant. We’ve used it a few times and got a few false alarms - we opted to use the Owlet smart sock instead. It’s great. 2. The camera makes a really loud clicking noise when it switches between normal and night vision. The click is loud enough to wake and startle a baby - it’s a pretty serious design flaw. We now keep the Nanit permanently in night vision mode to avoid the click. 3. There are basic iOS features missing which Nanit could and should incorporate - being able to have the video as ‘picture in picture’ for example. It’s a pretty good baby monitor and we’re fairly happy - but we’d be way happier if Nanit fixed these issues.
