When connected to Wi-Fi, it checks the weather forecast on the internet, ensuring your home is always the most comfortable temperature, and that your boiler is only using energy when you need it to.

If smart management of your central heating is important do not buy a Navien boiler
This app does not work so smart control of our central heating isn’t possible. It worked briefly but now the app says it’s offline even though the boiler control module says it’s connected to the wi-fi and the server, and is working correctly. Re-connecting the control module to the wi-if multiple times and deleting and reinstalling the app hasn’t resolved the issue. Based on all the negative reviews of this app Navien clearly have no intention of fixing this issue. I wish I’d seen these reviews before purchasing a Navien boiler.
Unusable app
We can no longer use the app to control our heating & hot water. The smart plus control indicates it’s pared with our wifi but every time we open the app it says ‘loading’ and then changes to ‘offline’ - useless. Using the thermostat to control everything is very clunky and obviously can’t be used remotely.
Customer service extremely unhelpful - suggested it was us and not the app at fault.
Not a great experience when a company doesn’t pay any attention to customer feedback.
App Review
I recently had problems with the App failing. I made contact with their customer service and they were very helpful. I had to make some changes to the settings on my iPhone for the phone to connect properly.
I just changed my phone to an IPhone 16 and although I can open the App via the AppStore it won’t actually allow me to put the app on my phone which is very tedious. Navien need to communicate better to their customers or their reputation will be damaged permanently.
