Norton Secure VPN - Proxy VPN 4+

Easy peasy

Agree with the pre-filled title of the review… it is easy to turn in the VPN. Sometimes it won’t load because it can’t reach the server which is an occasional nuisance & some apps won’t let you use their services with a VPN so not foolproof.. but I trust Norton (I use some of its other products on my laptop) & I do feel protected. And because it’s for more than 1 device I’m covered & I can give it to those less risk averse..
Pretty sure I wouldn’t buy this type of service from anyone else.

The rest of this are their suggested wording 😉… norton customer so already bought into the protect yourself ethos & trust them. Glad to have this product as the proliferation of unsecured Wi-fi and my use of it was inevitable. Easy to install & turn on and therefore easy to persuade my family, young & old to use it too. Does it work? How do you prove a negative. And there are other places where my data is held that could be vulnerable but at least I am doing my bit & with a trusted partner whose day job is security & data/identity protection.

You should fire your designer!

Whoever designed, agreed on and approved this new extremely ugly yellow approach and app icon should be fired without a 2nd chance! Run a pole if you don’t have the eye and taste to get what I mean. It’s UGLY like hell and hurts the eyes. Check how much turmeric he added! This much yellow is like an error sign, a warning post. Nothing can justify it or even describe it! Fire them and bring back the old beautiful easy on the eyes design. I’m giving 1 week and I’ll switch to another VPN, yes, because of the icon and yellow app. I care about my eyes, taste and sanity.

I wouldn’t be such disappointed if I’m not a loyal Norton advocate, since the early days with under Dos Norton commander and Norton utilities! Ghost. I never switched to any other Anti Virus and I switched many people because of my good experience snd trust in Symantec/ Norton. I pay yearly for several premium licenses of 10 devices each. I have many devices from windows to Macs. And I’m Norton VPN is my go to fast VPN even though I have other paid pro services like Nord. I’m a developer, a creative director and I know what I’m saying when I criticise this turmeric harsh warning yellow approach. Nothing justifies this decision when the old calm icon was good. Change is good but when it’s in the right direction.

I used another VPN (HotpotShield Elite) for a number of years on a deal recommended by Norton who pulled out of VPN for a while. I am now back with Norton now that they have returned to VPN.
Norton WIFI Privacy seems slick and reliable so far and I have been to South America and some other far away places.
I have Norton WiFi Privacy on my Macbook Pro which was bought together with Norton Internet Security plus I have a trial version of Norton WiFi Privacy on my Iphone. Unless I am mistaken it seems that only one device can use the Norton WiFi Privacy in the UK market unless you pay for a second device. In the USA you can use Norton WiFi Privacy on a number of devices for one price.
Very happy with the performance. Cost per device is not high (at the moment) so just a different marketing strategy to the USA. If Norton starts cranking up the price excessively I will move to another provider.
