(Not Boring) Weather 4+

So good

I love these apps so much. I use all of them and they make my phone so much more interesting and help keep me focused. However, I would love if there was some sort of Haptic Touch fidget app almost. The actual apps such as the cloud popping game on the weather app and the act of just scrolling ok the timer are both so satisfying and calming to me. But if there was an app that would do this itself and more… then I would honestly be in heaven… thanks for the great apps they are the best things I’ve ever downloaded!!! 5 stars!

Subscription? For weather? No way!

It was a waste f time downloading. No option to purchase the app, but they’re quite happy to take almost £15 a year from you for a weather app. I can not support this kind of practice.
The developer wrote to me, justifying the price using the argument that weather data isn’t free to them -while there is some truth to this, the excuse loses so much merit when their Calculator and Timer apps do not rely on a 3rd part subscription on their part for math and for timekeeping -and yet they still feel you should pay a ridiculous amount to rent the app.
I have purchased so many apps from developers who update their apps continually at no additional cost -occasionally they make a major change and you buy a new version if you wish. There’s a reason for this: it’s because the apps are timeless and new users keep buying them. Subscription models will be unsustainable at this rate. People will be renting every minute detail of their online lives if they support this type of practice.

Hi Micro—Sorry to hear you were disappointed. Believe it or not, weather data isn't free. Particularly if you want accurate hyper-local weather. We're not interested in running ads or selling your data. So for us, member-supported subscriptions are the best model to support the ongoing costs of building an app including data services like weather, support to improve app capabilities, support for all the latest features of each new iOS, as well as all the development of new skins and new apps that come with the membership. Literally only one complaint

Been using this for a while now and I really like it. I only use the free version, but it does everything I need and the layout is fine as it is so I genuinely don't see any need to upgrade.

It would be 5 stars but for one annoyance: when my phone is in silent mode, it doesn't affect this app - so if you want to check tomorrow morning's weather while you're in bed and your wife is asleep, if you have media volume up you *will* disturb her (I'm speaking from personal experience here!) 😄
If that could be resolved then it would definitely be a 5 star app 👍🏻
