Log music, write reviews, and see what people with actual taste are spinning. Find people to pull up to shows with. Earn free currency just by showing up daily.
Your music opinions deserve a home.
NoteBoxd is where you log everything you listen to, rate it, and actually talk about it with people who get it. Find people to pull up to shows with, track the concerts you're going to, and see who else is going. No algorithm feeding you strangers' takes on things you don't care about — just a feed built from the people you follow and the community you're part of.
What you can do:
Concerts & Events — Post shows you're going to, browse what the community's got on their calendar, and RSVP. Your upcoming shows live right on your profile.
Rate & Review — Log any album, track or concert. Rate it, write as much (or as little) as you want. Browse trending albums ranked by community rating, check out new releases, or scroll a personal feed built from people you follow.
Hot Take of the Day — A new take every day. Agree or disagree, see how everyone split, and jump into the group chat to argue about it. Missed one? Browse every past Hot Take and see how the vote went.
Play — Four music games:
• Follow That Tune — Name the song from a one-second clip. Get it faster, score higher, and climb the leaderboards.
• Would You Rather — Two artists, albums or tracks. Pick a side, then see how the community voted.
• Keep 3, Delete 1 — Four picks, one has to go. Make the call, then see what everyone else got rid of.
• Higher or Lower — Is the next rating higher or lower? Guess your way through the community's own ratings. One wrong guess ends your run, so chase your best score and climb the leaderboard.
Post your own Would You Rathers and Keep 3, Delete 1s — they go live straight away.
Tier Lists — Rank albums, artists or songs from S to F. Tap or drag each pick into its tier, then post it for everyone to see. Browse the community's tier lists, sort by most liked, and like, comment on or share the ones you agree (or violently disagree) with.
Talk About It — Comment on reviews and lists, reply in threads, like what resonates. Long comment sections collapse so things stay readable.
Tag Your Friends — @mention anyone in a review, comment or tier list with live autocomplete. They'll get notified.
Build Crates — Curate lists like "Best Albums of 2026" and share them. Browse Community Crates, search and filter what others have made, upvote your favorites, and jump into the comments.
Never Miss a Beat — Push notifications for new followers, comments, replies, likes, and mentions.
Earn Notes, Just by Showing Up — Write a review, leave a comment, like a review — do all three in a day and you earn a Note, an in-app currency. Vote on the Hot Take of the Day for another. 100% free to earn.
Show Off Your Taste — Spend Notes to permanently add albums to your Vinyl collection and pick which ones show up on your profile. Feature your favorite artists too — swapping one out is permanent, so choose wisely.
A Community Worth Being In — Block anyone, report anything, and every post runs through automatic filtering before it goes live.
Sign in with Apple — One tap, no passwords, no new accounts to manage.
Free to use. No ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases at launch.
NoteBoxd is built for people who already track what they listen to obsessively — now you've got a place to talk about it.
None of my mates like the same music as me and so the events feature is so good being able to see other users that are going, I also have wanted a Letterboxd equivalent for music for so long and I’m so glad it’s finally here

Simple. Easy to use and lets me log albums I’ve listened to. I also found people going to concerts I’m going to!!
Tier Lists are here
Rank your favorite albums, artists or songs from S to F, then share your list. You can like, comment on and @mention friends on other people's lists. You'll find them on Home and on every profile.
New game: Higher or Lower
Guess whether the next rating is higher or lower. Every right answer earns 10 points, and one wrong guess ends the game. Try to top the new leaderboard.
Weekly & monthly tasks
There are now bigger goals next to the daily tasks. Finish them to earn Notes.
Daily streaks
Open NoteBoxd every day and earn 3 Notes every third day. We'll remind you before your streak runs out.
More notifications
Get notified when you win Notes on a leaderboard, and when people like, comment on or mention you in a tier list.
A fresher Home
All the games now sit together in one place, tier lists have their own section, and the "See All" buttons are easier to tap.
Fixes & improvements
NoteBoxd now always uses dark mode, even when your phone is in light mode.
Shared profile cards now show the NoteBoxd logo.
Daily tasks are easier to read.
Lots of smaller fixes.
