The OMRON connect US/CAN/EMEA app provides many free features for you to manage your heart health (some feature availability depends on device type)

Loses readings/ sync every time
The old app, brilliant. I synced to this new app as requested, I followed the instructions. I have lost 3 months of data. If I do not sync the app when I have just taken a reading I receive no readings.
With the previous app I just did 1 sync at night and it would load my readings for the day. If I do that now I only get the last reading, the rest of the day has disappeared. I also have to pair each time I sync as it says it cannot find omron monitor/blood pressure. Again Ion the previous only did this once and it just continually downloaded my readings when I slid the page down.
Now maybe it is a fault with my blood pressure monitor, I don’t know but I have only had this issue since transferring to the new app. Can you please advise. Thank you

Intermittent sync issues
The product and app is great. I do check my blood pressure regularly and monitor my results on a daily basis when I can. However I believe the app and the synchronisation with the phone app via Bluetooth should be improved. The issue I have is, I take my blood pressure, but there is no indication on the app that my machine is connected to the app. I get to know it is not connected when I don’t see the results on the app. I have to then press the connect button on the machine and wait for it to pair again and then the data syncs. It would be nice to know before hand to show on the app that it is either trying to connect or it is not connected. The app should indicate that I am connected then I can take my blood pressure. Furthermore, the app should have real time synchronisation with the machine. So while the machine is measuring my blood pressure it should show the same on the app in real time, so I don’t have to see the little screen on the machine but I should see the same on the phone app in real time, like a mirror image of the data on the app or something on those lines.

As a cardiac patient post open heart surgery, I purchased the Omron X7 Smart blood pressure device. It was exactly what I needed as I could monitor for atrial fibrillation as well as irregular heart beat. The app was excellent. Then after all the hype about releasing a new version of the app, its absolutely awful. Very slow to load and I’m no longer able to check for atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat.
Having contacted Omron, I was given two different explanations. One was that the wrong version of the app had been released in the UK and it would be rectified and the other that I could still check for both atrial fibrillation and irregular heart beats on the app. Both versions are inaccurate. To me it appears that they want to make money through subscriptions to view what was formerly freely available in the old app.
I am really annoyed as the sole reason for me making the purchase was the ability to check for atrial fibrillation and irregular heart beats. Surely this must be a trading standards issue and certainly extremely poor customer care.
