OPUS: Rocket of Whispers 4+

Just Brilliant

Hi it was a great experience . The storyline is perfect and characters really interesting on them own . I don’t really agree with the others about the gameplay because is a part of the game and force you to stay organised in your research . I put only 4 stars because as I like to rush until the really end (speaking about after the end, all the small missions left with Ghosts ) I would like to being able to look for more soul stones if there was a Respawn . I understand for paying the extra when you are impatient or for finishing an object but having more sometimes than 1 with the ads would give some more pleasure about the background and finishing the game .
I recommend it a lot the end made me cry .

Probably wouldn't recommend

The graphics of the game, as well as the music and the back story all made for a beautifully constructed game, and if you can take enjoyment and appreciation from that alone, you'll love the game. What I struggle with however is the premise and content of the gameplay. This is for a number of reasons:

1) The controls of the game were slightly irritating; it meant that a lot of the time you were obstructing your own view.

2) I wasn't pleased that in order to proceed with the game you HAD to pay at least £1.99. I understand that small app makers need support but I would have preferred if the price was asked for outright before I downloaded the game.

3) The gameplay was tedious; there was no variation, you are simply required to collect items. The added element of time pressure was also irritating as you would end up repeating sections of the game. There is an aspect of the game in which you collect items for another purpose, but again, this seemed laborious.

4) The ending seemed to be abrupt and did not reconcile the dilemmas of the plot. The dialogue seemed to take the main focus of the gameplay and again, this added to the repetitive and boring aspect of the app.

Overall, if it was possible I would give this game a 2.5; it didn't seem worth the money I spent for an extra 1-2 hours of gameplay. Wouldn't recommend.

OPUS Magnum

OPUS: Rocket of Whispers is a beautifully crafted game with a gorgeous soundtrack and intriguing narrative that positively shines on iPhone X in particular. This makes the £1.99 required to unlock the full game an absolute no-brainer and I have no hesitation in recommending the game with one small caveat concerning the controls.

[NOTE]: The virtual analogue stick control scheme can sometimes feel clumsy and unnecessarily frustrating to use. This only serves to emphasise the disappointment that developer, Sigono, has not incorporated the excellent 'tap to move' control scheme found in the Rocket of Whispers prologue. At the very least, players should have an option to make the onscreen controls fully transparent.
