Panels - Comic Reader 4+

Beautiful comic reader but needs iCloud sync

Update: now I can use iCloud storage and view my comics without needing to download them this is now a 5 star app 👌

Best comic reader app by far. Makes me smile every time I use it.

This is by far the best looking comic reader on the App Store. How it displays your comics is awesome and the reading experience is top notch. Unfortunately its missing a vital feature pretty much every comic app has, iCloud sync. With the free app I’ve chosen to use all I have to do is place the comics in an iCloud folder and it magically appears in the app. Panels has a really clunky way of managing importing of comics. I want to use Panels and pay them all my money but until the include this simple feature I’ll be reading my comics elsewhere

Panels does offer support for iCloud sync, although it is a Premium feature. To enable it, go into library -> content -> add another library. Navigate to your root folder located in iCloud drive and add it. From that point, all content in that folder will be automatically synced. I hope that helps

Chunky finally has a worthy successor!

Being a stickler for familiarity I really can’t stand change, which is why when the developer stopped supporting Chunky I held on with both hands for as long as I could until I started seeing imperfections that I could no longer overlook.

i use simple comic when I just want to read a single issue, but as far as curating and bing reading goes, nothing comes close to touching Panels in terms of what it offers, and then behind the scenes you have a friendly, attentive development team in the form of Victor and Dani (and others, I’m sure) who are happy to answer any and all questions you have, and eagerly ask for feedback. 



A simple yet powerful app

Started reading a couple months ago and been using the app ever since, the app is just great with new features and updates coming regularly, this has one of the cleanest if not the cleanest interface out of every comic reader, most others that have clean interfaces are either paid apps(the app should be free, if they have subscription for comics, that should be a separate thing) or just bad.I’ve only faced a couple of problems with the app which were quickly fixed after informing the devs.

Just gonna say this to devs: you guys rock, keep up the good work
