Needs work, and some questionable features
The interface on he app itself needs work, you can see what they were aiming for but the user experience is poor when compared to other more established apps.
Also heavily, heavily focused in the US in terms of what’s there, and as you will imagine with the whole twexit stuff there’s a big majority of trump/right wing sign ups, not all, but most. I’ll be honest and there’s so much trump stuff on it when you’re looking through for things to follow, I thought i’d joined some sort of advertising or marketing app for him. Not my bag so I removed it.
App then raised few alarm bells.
Can’t delete your account, have to put in an online ticket submission (5 days and still waiting), the settings menu in itself is very limited.
Most UK on there seem to have signed up to follow Hopkins after her ban on twitter, maybe given a year to establish properly it might have a bit more balance and some changes made to improve the user experience/ease of use.
Lot of reviews saying this is excellent app, it isn’t, it’s just getting a lot of support (read the highly positive reviews and they all start trying to claim bad reviews are due to political bias, against the left etc etc).
If they put some work into the interface this could be a promising app, also need to work on level of control users have over their profile/account.
Good idea, terrible execution
Finally somewhere people can discuss ideas freely.
However, I fear that the app experience may turn people away as it’s hard to use and ugly.
The on boarding was offputting, for some reason there are unfollow buttons everywhere, even in the newsfeed (this is counterintuitive), I have good eyesight but the colours, use of bold text, use of spacing and contrast are really giving me eye strain and make the information architecture complicated to follow. These are just a few examples. It’s great that the app seems to be spiking in popularity, and I really want more people to join, but I think these factors and more are holding people back from falling in love with the app. I really encourage you to invest time and money in better UX and UI. I would happily speak to someone to give more detailed feedback. Thanks for reading.
