Poor communication

I’ve ordered from Photobox 23 December 2022 for a Christmas gift. The estimated delivery was 29 December, but unfortunately it wasn’t delivered then. I’ve contacted them and one of the agent issued me a refund on top of that he said if I could let him know how much is the fastest courier. When I get back on the chat he was offline so I need to wait for another agent. Then spoken to another one and she said I just need to wait before re-ordering as the parcels on it’s way anyways. I waited, then I contacted them again today 11 January 2023, spoken to another agent. He advised me that there’s been a miscommunication, my parcels been cancelled and therefore I just need to reorder. My items been delayed for nearly a month. I just needed up paying for a priority for the courier. Not recommended at all.

Utterly useless

Photobox don’t deserve ANY stars - avoid at all costs!!!! I made a calendar online (actually quite straight forward), I then wanted to order some prints and that’s where the challenges started. They offer “50 free prints” but don’t be fooled unless you want to pay more on postage than it costs to buy them normally including postage! Want to upload them using the app? Don’t bother - you can’t look at what you’ve already added, or once they’ve been added to the basket view them online. App and online are completely incompatible! Want to add more than one of a print? Apparently that’s also impossible on the app… but if you want to pick some make prints online, you HAVE to upload them from your computer (or another source) and you can’t select from preuploaded album. Well, you can, but it takes 10 minutes per photo as their website is so slow so good luck!! You can’t order or view your uploaded albums in the app either. After over 10 years of using Photobox I will never use them again after this experience, I only stuck it out as I had already made the calendar.

No longer a good app :-(

Used to love easily making Photobooks on my tablet device using the old app. Since the app was updated, it’s no longer a bespoke app but diverts to a website, making it much harder to make books. Beforehand, you could mock up a book within a few minutes, save it and perfect it before the photos were uploaded for the final version (admittedly this could take a while and was not perfect). However, now you either have to download software for a desktop or try and cope with the website - it takes much longer to upload photos in advance of finishing the book (when you may not end up using them), and everything shows as small rather than nearly whole screen. I ended up abandoning my project - unless there’s a rapid review of the app for tablet and phone users, I’ll have to look elsewhere, which is really sad as it used to be a nearly excellent app which I’d recommended to other non techy friends and family due to its ease of use.
