Pretty nice but needs a few more features & tweaks
This app forms a good base for a pose tool for artists. I like the ability to pose just about everything down to fingers, although the controls are slightly fiddly & could be better isolated from camera rotations. Some of the rigging on the female figure seems a bit off but not too bad (im guessing the same rig is used for both male & female which is probably why) - could use an extra option for posing breasts.
Like Poser, this could use a good library of core poses & the ability to save poses to speed up productivity - one of the biggest shortcomings so far for me. An export image to camera roll would be nice too. The 3 lights are very useful, but again fiddly on the controls. The undo/redo don't always seem to work.
A ground plane would definitely be a good enhancement, as would the ability to change camera settings like perspective.
Hopefully this app will continue to develop as its a very cool tool in the mobile digital toolkit in conjunction with other drawing apps.
Could also use an extra rotation option for the whole body (or the hips) as the body is effectively locked in place at the centre of th body, making some poses difficult to properly visualise.
I purchased pose tool 3D yesterday and i am really impressed with what I have seen so far but I cannot work out how you get the red dots to appear on figure or am I just missing something??
This is an intuitive little app which manages to pack a surprising amount in. I'm only giving four stars because (and please correct me if I'm wrong) there is no simple way of exporting output into other apps like ArtStudio. Currently I take a screen shot then import it as a layer from the camera roll and distort it within ArtStudio to the desired canvas size which is a bit round the houses. A straight save view to camera roll option would be great.
Otherwise I'm very pleased and use this on both a iPhone 4S and iPad mini.
