In Potion Explosion, you will explode ingredients, trigger chain reactions and gather it all in your caldron. You will then use your hard-earned unicorn tears, fairy dandruff and other magical ingredients to craft powerful mixtures with wacky effects! May the best wizard win!
HOW TO PLAY
At the beginning of the game, each player is given potions to complete with specific effects and ingredients. You will have to select ingredients in the dispenser; once your selected ingredient is removed, the ingredients above will slide down. If two ingredients of the same nature collide, they explode and you get them too! You can then use your ingredients to cook up your potions. You only have a limited tank space to store remaining ingredients from one turn to another, so choose carefully! Once a potion is completed, you score points, get to use its powerful effect and pick another potion to craft. The wizard with the most points wins!

Potentially the best digital conversion of a board game but....
This is the best way to play this game, IMHO. Ease of play and thematic flourishes make me want to play regularly.
A recent update finally made the game playable, if you can be patient when the game crashes. And it will. For example, when you use the potion of magnetic attraction.
Developers-Please fix the many bugs that cause multiple crashes every game and make this a five star app.

Hello, apologies for the long wait for the fixes! With the latest update (3.4.5), all issues should have been solved. Please install the latest version of the app, and feel free to share a positive rating if you find it improved since the last time you played. It would be much appreciated!
AI not challenging enough - ruins solo game
Despite an aesthetically pleasing implementation of the board game, and engaging gameplay (which has made me want to get the physical version) this app suffers from very weak AI which makes it hard to recommend if you plan to play it solo. Previous reviews mention a too tough AI and one of the updates mentions altering the AI so I wonder if the developers have gone too far the other way in trying to fix it. There seems to be no difference between the three levels of AI and apart from narrowly losing my second game I haven’t lost since after numerous subsequent plays (and believe me I am no board game genius lol). It’s a real shame as everything else is in place for a great little app. Would be great to think the developers might have a second crack at fixing the AI.
Fun for the most part
Fun game with some challenging, albeit a little luck dependant, puzzling in the form of matching. Recently bought the expansion though, and with the introduction of the 'wild' colours, it eventually dulls down to just picking the same lane over and over again, as wilds gets prioitised, it eventually leads to Wild's getting used, and they fill back up the only empty lane; that being the one that was JUST picked. And becuase it's now full of wilds, it's get picked again... and again, and again. Other than that oversight though, a good game.
