Description

With the Preventicus Heartbeats medical app, you can check your heart rhythm in just one minute by placing your finger on your smartphone camera. Regular use supports the detection of cardiac arrhythmias, especially atrial fibrillation, to prevent a stroke. If atrial fibrillation is diagnosed early, therapy (usually medication) can almost normalise your risk of stroke.

Why Preventicus Heartbeats?
- Certainty just with your smartphone, anywhere and anytime
- ECG-comparable report with clear recommendation for action for you and your doctor
- high accuracy confirmed by international clinical studies
- certified medical application
- one of the most successful German medical apps with >12 million analyses
- European Society of Cardiology recommends regular self-monitoring of heart rhythm
- Participating health insurance companies in Germany recommend the app to help detect atrial fibrillation

Functions of the free basic version
- 1-minute measurement and thereby: Determination of the heart rate and recognition of first indications of cardiac arrhythmia
- Free 30-minute test of the full version

Functions of the full version
- all functions of the basic version
- detailed analysis and presentation of the measurement results
- ECG-comparable report with clear recommendation for action
- possibility of a 5-minute measurement
- possibility of having your measurements checked by experts
- Reminders for regular measurements can be set

Who is the app suitable for?
Regular self-measurement of the heart rhythm is particularly suitable for people with an increasing risk of stroke:
- from the age of 65
- from the age of 55, if there are risk factors (e.g. high blood pressure, diabetes, heart stuttering, after a stroke or heart attack)
- according to a doctor's recommendation

Purpose
The purpose of the app is to detect indications of cardiac arrhythmias. These include in particular:
- an irregular pulse with suspected atrial fibrillation
- the suspicion of other cardiac arrhythmias with frequent irregular heartbeats
- the determination of the heart rate (heart rate, pulse, pulse rate) with indications of a pulse that is too low or too high

Important notes
All results are tentative diagnoses, not a diagnosis in the medical sense. Suspected diagnoses do not replace personal consultation, diagnosis or treatment by a doctor.
This app should not be used to make decisions in situations that are considered life-threatening (e.g. heart attack).

More data than other heart rate monitors

Excellent app. Yes it does cost to unlock full version but it’s worth it.
Some heart rate apps cost just give you a heart beat count. This does heart rate and also detects any heart rhythm problems and does it over a much longer test period so is much more accurate in its readings.

Only criticism is compared to some other heart rate apps the sensor is quite temperamental and can lose signal seemingly for no reason.

Sort that and it’s 5 stars!!!

30 mins to test unlocked version

Can you trial the app for free... apparently yes. You can test that the app works with your phone but it won't give you the results unless you unlock the app to test the full version, whether this involves signing up and giving all your details I don't know. I think the developers could be more straight forward with how and when you pay..you do feel you're being lured into paying, instead of honestly asked ...and why is iCloud needed?
I would pay willingly! But my confidence in the organisation is knocked by the marketing of the app.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your feedback.
The free version offers a pre-test of 1 minute and provides an initial evaluation of the pre-test. In addition you can unlock the Prevneticus Heartbeats app once for 30 minutes to test the features of the full version. The full version allows a precise measurement of 1 or 5 minutes and produces an ECG-comparable PDF report.
It also provides access to optionally bookable Telecare Services to support you and your physician by providing medical-technical evaluations of your heartbeat recordings.
If you have further questions, please send us your questions to support@preventicus.com. We wish you much health.

Accurately diagnosed Atrial Fibrilation

Woke up with fast heartbeat that didn’t go away. I used this app and the report said it suspected Atrial Fibrillation. I ended up at hospital who diagnosed the same thing. I am now on beta blocker and blood thinners till I see cardiologist. Highly recommend this app prior to seeking medical help.

Developer Response ,

Thank you very much for your positive feedback. We wish you all the best. Yours sincerely, the Preventicus Team
