Best 'economy' midi sequencers.
Im a bit tight. If you want to spend 20 on a Midi sequencer, strength to your arm. This little baby does a great job, very easy to write, edit and configure. Ableton style interface which is a bonus. Draw cc value changes across a patterns. Easy integration with DM1 which is a first for me. Only four stars 'cos there isnt enough labelling options for me. Id like to label my drum kits in the pattern edit mode. Also I'd like a midi groove option. Love you guys :)
Has buckets of potential
Could be really, really good, but couple of issues making it not much use for me yet. Will give it a 5/5 if these are fixed.
Couple of annoying things: I'm using Ableton as the Master and Pro Midi as the slave. Whenever I stop and start Ableton, the playhead in Pro Midi starts playing from exactly where it stopped, it doesn't go back to the beginning of the pattern, like Ableton does. This means everything get out of sync (this works fine in other iOS step sequencers so I know Ableton is set up right).
Scale mode looks great, but I can't see how to transpose it to a different key - it looks like it's stuck in C?
Is this abandonware now?
Bought this wanting to import midi but cannot for the life of me work out how to do it. With the loss of iTunes I’m not sure if it’s even possible anymore! Tried emailing support but my email was returned, tried emailing the developer but still waiting for a response. If there’s no support for this app anymore I wish the app had been taken down!
