Rain Alarm Pro 4+

Sorry about this but lovely app that I have been using for years but the latest update just had it crashing on launch with my latest IOS on an iPhone 8.

To fix I uninstalled and reinstall from app store. Thos seems to have fixed the crashing issue.

I have used this recently, for three weeks in Menorca and it has proved itself to be wrong on every occasion. I have screenshots showing heavy rain clouds over the top of me, when the actual sky was blue and there were no clouds in sight. This has been a complete waste of money… as requested by the developer, I have removed the last part of the previous sentence.
The app is sold on the basis that it shows where the rain is at the time that the map is viewed. I do not consider this as fully accurate, on the basis that the app often tells me that it is raining exactly where I am, despite the the sky being completely blue and the sun is shining.

Hi SnrTortilla, this app uses real time radar data from weather services all around the world. The data for Menorca is provided by AEMET, the Spanish weather service. The data we show to you is just the same that the radars provide. Perhaps there was another problem unrelated to the data that was causing this issue. I understand your frustration. Please ask for a refund by Apple if you think the app is not what you expected. In any case, I would like to make it clear that we are not selling this app under false pretences. Your accusation is completely out of place and clearly damages our reputation publicly. I kindly ask you to remove that line from your review. What happened to the adjustable cycle time? 4 hours gave you a good guide to what was happening. 30 minutes makes it almost useless. The best app ever is now the worst app. Gutted!!!!
Update since feedback from developer. Now back up to five stars. Dynamic offset turned off with 2 hour manually adjusted timeframe & maximum 13 frame images. Now perfectly acceptable.

Please, go to the settings and disable the “dynamic offset” option. After that you’ll be able to set the length of the animation manually with even more precision than before the update.
